Protective of a superb film and struck by the absurdity of some of the criticism levelled at it.

Definitely.

VeryNiceGuy i suggest you read the Lord of the Rings film thread and you'll see it's a fruitless endeavor to argue with Denster about films.

Finally saw this yesterday, glad I saw it on a big screen before it went off.

Fantastic from start to finish, a 2 hour chase movie with bonkers cars and other nonsense counterpointed with some emotional depth. Its interesting how all the cars I saw were no newer than the 1970s, which I guess is when the world ended.

There are very few films where i'm interested in the making-of process; normally it's all CG this and CG that, but I'd be interested to see all the behind the scenes stuff for this, particularly how they made the cars.

EDIT: Also saw these:

Just in case anyone's interested this seems to have leaked in 1080p. Should tide me over until the bluray release

I must be the only person who didn't like this film at all :?

Went into it hyped as strawberry float due to the amount of praise out gets here and elsewhere and ended up bored to tears. Sure it looks great but it had pretty much the same plot as waterworld :dread:

I'm seriously wondering if this is some elaborate Internet meme where everyone l praises something they don't really like, like knack.
