I was using him all the time for that same reason, but his weapon upgrades didn't have a vamp chance after a while, so he was to underpowered to use. If I get another powerful vamp weapon he'll be straight back on the team.

You don't need a vamp weapon, use a push weapon (to help trigger hero sight) and fully upgrade his vamp dash. It does a ridiculous amount of damage.

We've been playing through the coop campaign, not far in as it's slow going teaching my wife all the mechanics of the game and character traits, but it's great fun.

My problem with the co-op campaign is that with the almost inevitable difference in experience, it just turns into player one telling player two what to do. Co-op brings pretty much nothing to it that one player can't achieve on their own (and probably better). I actually played the first co-op level by myself.

I didn’t love Coop. Didn’t think the game worked too well in that format. At the very least you definitely need two players who understand all the abilities and mechanics.

It very much is me just saying what to do at the moment. Still enjoyable thoughand she's starting to get the tactics.

Maybe we should play versus mode

Versus is great but as you'll be playing with your wife I should warn you that it does come with a serious risk of divorce.

Anyone tried Ultimate Challenge 3 on the DK Adventure DLC? The others are pretty easy, but this one is just....wow.

Harsh. I was very fortunate in my run through in that I don't think I encountered any crashes.

I lost about an hour of progress on the DLC thanks to a crash. I've never gone back. :(

Ouch. :(

Well I'm really pissed. Tried about a dozen more times and I cant beat it now. Just get 1 special effect and a character randomly run about out in the open and then I'm spammed with attacks. I guess I really need to try out other team set ups but because the main game does such a poor job encouraging you to switch it up half of them I've not even touched.

Yet somehow I beat it first time.

You will get there. What combo are you using?

I had 5/6 crashes in about 40 hours with the main game.

Zero crashes in the DLC though.

Mario, Luigi and Rabbid Peach. Which I've used pretty much exclusively for the whole game and laughed my way to perfect ranks 90% of the time on my first attempts. Didn't even have to change them for the world challenges which I've all beaten.

It's all about Rabbid Luigi and his vamp ability which means you don't automatically need a healer.

I mainly used him with Mario and then you can bring in a more attacking (Luigi, Rabbid Mario) or defensive (Rabbid Peach) character depending on what you need.
