I found these in the OP. Can a Mario Kart 7 veteran confirm that we just need to enter these and join the lobby to play online, instead of adding everyone's Friend Code?

Do we need a complete line-up to play a game or will the rest of the players be filled by randoms?

It'll only be the two of us and anyone who drops in if we use the GR community. If we have each other's friend codes, one of us can jump into a worldwide lobby and the other can join via the friend list.

My code is 0748-1729-0883; leave yours here and I'll add it to my 3DS. If no one else has posted by this evening we can just start racing online and join each other's games to play against each other and randoms.

EDIT: I hope that other people at least post an interest so we can start Mario Kart Mondays* from next week.

It looks like I won't be able to start until 9. I'll keep an eye on the thread between races so if Gario and I aren't using the community we can quickly exchange codes if necessary.

I think the community is probably the best bet, easier to set up.

It'd be pretty boring with just two or three people on the track.
