I'm still not sure it's 100% certain that Mario Kart Wii U online will be shut down.

There are still so many people playing it, it's not an old game, and there would be a huge uproar!

Just because Miiverse is going, doesn't mean Mario Kart Online is going, does it?!

Apparently miiverse and tournaments are integrated so have to go, so online won't die as such but tournaments will.

Because there is a new version on a different platform and Nintendo are banana splits and want people to move to the new one so instead of offering a deal for people that were loyal with the Wii u they are strawberry floating them over instead.

Well for me at least, it means the end of Mario Kart 8 for the time being. I only play it on Tournament Mode and don't have a Switch

Yeah it sucks, it is the only way I have played it (not that I do much but it is nice to have the option), it just seems like a major dick move, I can sort of see why as they are going to be charging for online so don't want to leave a free way to play for this and Splatoon but it really gooseberry fools on the people that have stuck with them with the U rather than saying thanks to them for staying with Nintendo though the U.
