Did they ever rebalance the online play on the Wii version? I seem to remember one of the characters was OP'ed to strawberry float.

This looks fun but I hope there's a legit single player version.

I'm not asking for Mario Master League but

I absolutely love how they have two stadiums merge together. They're so well designed with their themes too.

This is going to be so polished. NLG

No idea why Nintendo won't confirm it themselves but:

As many suspected, Next Level Games is the developer behind the upcoming Switch release Mario Strikers: Battle League.

Nintendo didn't make any mention of this during its recent Direct announcement or the official PR, but it's now been confirmed by a rating over on the Australian Classification Board. The rating itself is 'PG' for Parental Guidance - with the game containing mild violence and online interactivity.

Nintendo don't really like playing up development studios right, they prefer everyone to just think of their games as "Nintendo games"

Looking at that (pretty great!) scarf, I'm wondering if this is gonna be the Hull City of football games :o .

This probably will be the Hull City of games, in that: it'd be really easy for me to experience it, but the smart money says I never will.

Looks great gameplay wise but I’m a bit concerned that there may be a lack of single player content.

If the gameplay is good all I need is a decent online mode. Hopefully that delivers.

I remember the last one being good online for a couple of weeks, before everyone resorted to a very specific tactic that made for it becoming very boring and formulaic.

Online club mode where you can join up to 20 clubs and either play as a team or play by yourself representing your club to rank it up.

With all the customisation options hopefully this will lead to a variety of approaches. Balancing will be key.

I'm not sure why that last trailer is only up in Japanese but I've watched some analysis videos of it and to be honest, I think it's looking brilliant.

The roster is on the short side but I wouldn't be surprised to see that rise like the other sports games.

The art style is wonderful. Real distinct look to it. Really welcome after how bland Mario Golf was in that respect.
