I thought that episode was a bit dull all in all.

The show might have been better suited having nine to twelve episodes in a season to allow a bit more build up of Owen Wilson and Loki gradually investigating Sylvie before her big reveal.

It does feel like it's rattling the main plot along when they could have had more fun with the premise, hopping through time and space.

The Shang Chi trailer seemingly showed the entire movie and I have no interest in seeing it whatsoever. It's not even going to be on Disney+ at launch like Black Widow so I have even less reason to give Disney money for it. I'll wait until it's free.

Whewf, started watching it then scrolled on in case of it showing me essentially the whole film. Glad I did.

Loki ep 3 was definitely the worst. I don't really understand what they were going for with the casting of Slyvie...the actress they've got is entirely average. Not as charming as Hiddleston, not particularly charismatic, not a name. I mean, she's just...there. Everyone else is the cast has been completely on-point so to have the villain be...meh...is weird.

The whole thing is ok so far. The visual design of the TVA is great, but the main plot is a little...dull.

I'm pretty sure that she isn't going to be the villain.

But that entire ep had her as the co-lead so my point stands. She's a bizarrely pedestrian casting choice in a show full of bangers.

I wasn't getting into your opinion on her acting abilities, just that there's no way she is the villain.

I thought she held her own quite well personally, she was quite natural bantering with Hiddleston. The problem, I think, is that the Hiddleston-Wilson chat is so much better that it makes the rest of the script look a bit boring.

BTW, did anyone watching episode 3 notice Loki very clearly using a time infinity stone to stop a column falling on his head?

Yeah I don't think there's anything wrong with her casting. I don't think a more recognisable actress (I kind of wonder if they wanted to cast someone like Natalie Dormer*) improves that episode.

*I know she was in Captain America, don't be a nerd.

I think that episode just really lacked Owen Wilson.

More Owen Wilson.

God, what if Owen Wilson is told he's actually a variant and goes crazy and becomes bad-guy Owen Wilson.

We can but hope.
