Still think Dr Strange is going to cameo in the last episode to lead into DS2 since Wanda is in that.

There's going to be a mid-credits or post-credits scene in the last episode so I would imagine it will happen in that.

Another fun episode, was good to see Monica get her powers and nice to see the TV show theme making more of a return after it kind of got abandoned beyond the surface level in the last episode.

Hoping for more of a twist or shock for the ending though, "It Was Agatha All Along" was a great tune but that has been pretty obviously telegraphed all the way through.

I would have, thanks :toot:

When we watched this tonight there were still five minutes left from the last episode because we'd given up after five weeks of sitting through a list of Eastern European voice actors with no payoff.

Still ended up FFW scanning through it before we started this week's just to make sure :shifty: :fp:

Exactly she stood out from a very early point IMO.

She had way too much agency compared to other residents of Westview for a start. There were too many awkward moments, too many things that didn't make sense with her

Only as sus as the other people inside. I didn't think it was obvious.

Oh. In that case yeah no, not who I thought it would be

I watch the episodes alongside the YouTuber Beyond the Trailer (she does a livestream watch along) and goes a bit into comic book history so it was pretty well known from day one that
Agnes might be Agatha Harness. Her being the villain was a theory but not 100% concrete

I do hope the series offers some explanation itself rather than just relying on comic book knowledge and/or explanation articles between episodes

I like this show, but good god so much of each episode is filler.

Yeah the sitcom bits are cute, but they're objectively meh when you compare them to the things they are taking inspiration from.

Too much of this show is wound up in the mystery rather than the immediate characters or story being interesting.

It's not impossible to do both with fake world scenarios, Black Mirror has done it numerous times.

Every time I see the Sword characters on screen I let out a sigh of relief because I know the story is actually going to progress

They were honestly far too concerned with paying homage to old sitcoms with this show rather than actually asking themselves if they needed to, or if it made the show better. The answer is no on both fronts.

Strongly disagree with all of that, to be perfectly honest.

I also really like the sitcom stuff also My Family isn't that great.

Okay. I think you'll find this is a forum not a survey though

Would be nice to hear some thoughts as to why.
Lex-Man wrote:I also really like the sitcom stuff also My Family isn't that great.

But why? Because it triggers your nostalgia or because it's actually well written and funny?

Because personally the only time I laughed at the show was when Agnes said she killed Sparky because it caught me off guard

The sitcom bits are the main part of the show. They are absolutely not filler.

Even if the sitcom segments are "filler" I don't really understand what the issue is. If you just want to get to the reveal or the parts of the show that actively and obviously progress the storyline then you surely may as well wait for someone to do a condensed summary video each week or at the end of the series?

I just don't understand how you want this particular story to be told.
