I looked up the source- it was something called Knightedgemedia.

Just gotten around to watching Black Widow.

I had honestly no idea how they could start a refresh after the last Avengers but that was immense. So much better than the trailers made it look like it would be.

At times you can see they're filming with Covid restrictions, but only if you're paying attention, which is a huge triumph.

It's an 8 at least from me, Geoff.

Pretty sure Black Widow was "in the can" prior to Covid kicking off?

No way?

There are so many scenes where everyone seems to be playing to a green screen, which I know is a Marvel thing anyway, but also where hardly anyone is in the same scene together without there being an obvious cut between them.

Then again, maybe I'm looking too hard and just seeing what I expected to see.

Still, a cracking film, and I even opened some sweet & salted popcorn on a Monday night for it. (Had some Tupperware on standby for the rest, so don't worry.)

It was initially meant to come out in April 2020 but kept getting delayed because of Covid.

If you didn't already know they cut an episode from season 1 of What If to air in season 2, I think you'll be able to guess when you watch 1x09.

Stopped watching them weeks ago mate (but will probably clench up and get through the 5 or so I’ve not bothered with eventually).
Looking forward to watching Black Widow in the hoose later.

What If was really up and down all season. Some good episodes and some really dreadful ones.

I enjoyed the last episode, but it's not exactly the greatest thing in the MCU.

Overall season rating: 6.5/10

Not sure why the Watcher would look at that Thor and say, "That's my guy." :slol:

I kind of figured there was something missing based off one of the Lego sets I saw a couple of months ago.

Are we talking about Gamora and Stark? because I genuinely thought I somehow missed an episode. Surely cutting that for next season makes no sense?

Watched Black Widow tonight. Enjoyed it enough but it totally falls apart in the final third and who the strawberry float thought casting Ray Winstone as a Russian geezer was a good idea :slol:

I wish they hadn't gone so big with it. The best stuff was the smaller family struggles and scenes like the one between Natasha and her sister at the petrol station. The CGI was propey ropey in places too.

Florence Pugh was great though.

It might tie in just as well with whatever multiversal war plot they're pursuing.

What If finale was great and I strawberry floating love that:

They didn't kill off Killmonger or Ultron meaning they can come back again later

It didn't stop them coming back after their previous deaths. ;)

Yeah thought it was a decent end to a mixed first season.

I enjoyed them all to some extent, but there were definite winners and losers.

Was talking about it with Cora earlier and "Fine" is probably the best way to describe it overall.

I would say it's actually pretty close to the source material as the What If comics also have a fair mix of good stories and utter trash.

Enjoyed the final 2 partner of What If a lot. Definitely upped the overall quality of the series. Would love that version of Strange to come back in Live action some how.

The rules of The Watcher seem a little vague now though so unclear how this will affect subsequent seasons.
