I abandoned it after two episodes, was on my phone for most of the second.

It's not for me.

Will wait and watch it on D+. Dr2 came to D+ really quickly and money is tight so I'm having to make a sacrifice.

Yeah it's a fantastic show.

It's ended up being nothing like I expected from the first episode. I thought it was just going to be a lighthearted teen comedy, but the whole partition stuff has the potential to get pretty dark.

I'm still absolutely loving Ms. Marvel as well, it's a breath of fresh air and probably the first of the shows where it maybe wouldn't have worked as a movie. Reason being they wouldn't have spent the time on the character interactions as much and that's the best bit. The first 10-15 mins of this week's show was like an episode of Whicker's World or Around the world in 80 days. It was so vibrant and exciting, I love what they're doing with it.

I am enjoying the show a lot (and I think the casting of Ms Marvel is absolutely spot on), but I do find it seems to be lagging a bit in the middle. Some of the aspects about the opening 2 episodes I loved, such as the art direction and things like that have slowed down.

Having said that, I'm very much looking forward to the final 2 episodes still and agree with Moggy that it is potentially going in an interesting, dark direction.

Agreed, I thought this would be more like Runaways but the characters are actually likeable in this. The historical stuff could be really good. It's my favourite Marvel thing since Shield finished I think.

Yeah, definitely. I know a little bit about the Partition (and how strawberry floating awful it was) from an undergrad class I took and I'll be very interested to see how they handle it in the last two episodes.

I was reading the Wikipedia page on Partition last night and it was very interesting. Harrowing stuff. Feel embarrassed that I didn't know anything about it until now.

I'm assuming they're not going to go too full on as from the little I know about it (what I read up on on wikipedia the other day) it appears the major issues with the partition appears to be caused by religious tension and a lot of the people who went 'missing' were likely killed and never found as they left their homes to move and never made it to their destination.

A lot of its' themes have centred around the experiences of being a young, Muslim, Pakistani woman growing up in America while also exploring her family heritage and what they went through. It really hasn't shied away from anything and it's all the better for it.

Would have been better explored with a less annoying character

I imagine she'll probably fight a giant alien atop a mountain.
