Punisher 1 was alright. Is 2 worth a watch?

It's been a while since the Netflix stuff but from what I recall:

Daredevil - All worth watching
Punisher - All worth watching
Luke Cage - Starts well, goes downhill but is never worse than ok.
Jessica Jones - Season 1 is fantastic, season 2 was gooseberry fool and I've not even bothered with season 3
Iron Fist - It's not great, but I mostly enjoyed it. I can see why a lot of people didn't though.
Defenders - I remember practically nothing about this. I don't think I hated it, but alternately I didn't particularly enjoy it either. It exists.

EDIT: Also liking the look of Shang Chi. The Ten Rings have been in the background since the very first Iron Man so it's gonna be good to get a proper look at them and the real Mandarin. I'd really love to see a hint as to what they did with Ben Kingsley.

Yeah Punisher is good. Daredevil S1 and S3 are genuinely brilliant, some of my favourite TV and up there as the best of the wider MCU for me. S2 is notably worse. Jessica Jones S1 is worth it for David Tenant being a fantastic villain. Luke Cage S1 is interesting for having a real musical performance per episode. I wouldn't recommend Iron Fist and Defenders sort of relies on you buying in to and watching everything else for an average payoff so it's difficult to justify. I wasn't really a fan of how they overplayed the Hand and the supernatural elements across the series.

Yeah basically any point where they went deep into the Hand side of things was a bore sadly.

Jessica Jones is worth watching all the way through I'd say. Season 1 is fantastic, season 2 loses it a little bit but season 3 is excellent again and wraps things up really well - I think it worked a lot better than s2 by sticking more to the private investigator/trying to catch a serial killer side of things which plays into JJ's character much better than the super-people stuff from s2.

Also, this is slightly unrelated but with it coming out not long after the Game of Thrones finale I found it interesting to see how much better it handled the "previously-good character becomes the final antagonist" twist with Trish compared to Daenerys, turns out actually providing some sort of build-up to it really helps that plotline lmao

Emilia Clarke has been cast in Secret Invasion. Will she be the Skull queen????

Not technically MCU news but Mads Mikkelsen apparently once auditioned to play Reed in the 2005 Fantastic Four film. Why on earth would they put him forward for Reed?

S1 of Jessica Jones was legitimately fantastic, but I don't think I finished S2.

I still haven't watched Punisher season 2 or JJ season 3.

I echo Rik's view on Jessica Jones, the third season is very good compared to the wayward second and well worth watching.

Still not a patch on the first season (still up there as one of the best stories told in the MCU, even if it is sort of ignored now) though and the show would have been better if it stopped after that one brilliant story.

Petition to have Luis from Ant-Man recap the MCU so far.

They already did that for Endgame.

It was supposed to be May but it's been delayed.

Yeah, I thought they were setting up a second season at the end of the last episode.

Some dates for upcoming movies in this trailer, as well as first footage of the Eternals and confirmation Black Panther 2's subtitle is Wakanda Forever and Captain Marvel 2 is called "The Marvels". Fantastic Four tease at the end too.
