I think the problem with Thor 2 is the antagonist isnt very good. Christopher Eccelston doesnt get enough screen time, and is hampered by having to talk in a made up language. Had they have made him more central and less so his minions doing all the heavy lifting, the whole film would have fallen into place. Other than that, its not a bad film on rewatch.

Although i can totally see why Natalie Portman refused another film. The gushing and swooning they made her character do seems very out of theme. Now that MCU seem to be taking female characters more seriously i understand why sees coming back.

I quite liked Thor 2. It wasn’t the best but it had some great parts and I’ve found it more than watchable on numerous occasions.

Thor 2 is saved by the Thor and Loki relationship and their back and forth which is something most of the non-ensemble films lack.

Loki 2

Still exposition heavy for such a short series. But it’s so enjoyably watchable I don’t mind

Given the nature of Loki I’m expecting this to be very chat heavy, and I’m totally fine with it. Looking forward to watching this later on!

Yeah, the back and forth between Hiddleston and Wilson was a joy in E1 so I'm on board for much more of that. Excited to watch this later today.

How many episodes are there going to be? I always wait until it’s over and watch them all together.

Ep 2:So is the idea going to be there is one universe and one timline because of the Time Keepers and the TVA but Lady Loki bombing the Sacred Timeline is going tk create the multiverse and lead into Dr Strange 2, Spidey 3 etc?

edit: but didn't Endgame suggest there were different timelines when they travelled in time? I'm confused how this works and the rules they're establishing. And thinking about it, didn't the Avengers cause timeline branching by strawberry floating about with time travel. Why didn't the TVA show up?

Didn't think it was as good as ep 1. Feel it's just getting going though.

The whole thing in Endgame was they would bring the stones back to the same moment they took them from, so it wouldn't create an alternate timeline. I think Tilda Swinton chats to Banner about it all. I'm not sure how far along the timeline needs to get before they decide that it's a variant line, though.

They said in episode 1 that the Avengers were allowed to do it. Which I guess means that their "branch" was actually the sacred timeline all along.

That was excellent. I had high hopes for this series and I've not been disappointed at all.

I completely forgot about that in episode 1 :fp:

So do the TVA remove the alternate timelines as they are created?
