Yeah they really haven't dealt with the "Captain Marvel is OP" problem at all as far as I can recall. They obviously have the cheap get out of keeping her out of action across the galaxy the majority of the time but when she's back it really should be game over - she literally blasted through and destroyed a fleet of warships with just her own body, she should have snapped Thanos like a twig.

Relative power levels between characters are a general problem across the whole MCU in my opinion. Who is stronger than who seems to fluctuate entirely on a "as the story needs it" basis

Deadpool 3 confirmed for 2022. And it is going to be part of the MCU.

I'm guessing they'll use the multiverse route.

Kevin Feige has said it won't be filmed this year, so unless it's released right at the end of 2022, it won't be out until 2023 at the earliest.

TBH they won't bother explaining it away, they'll just act like Deadpool has always been there. Or he'll do something meta like step out of one cinema screen, run through a multiplex then jump into another.

Well as the sole person on the planet who likes neither deadpool or Ryan Reynolds I find this inevitable news disappointing

Loads of rumours have just appeared, including but not limited to:

- Doom as lead villain for Black Panther II
- Jon Bernthal being eyed to reprise his role as The Punisher in the MCU
- Black Widow is being considered for a hybrid Disney Plus/Cinema release
- Emma Caulfield of Buffy fame has an important role in Wandavision
- Wandavision was only conceived with one season in mind, but other shows(Loki, Falcon/Winter Soldier) have potential multi-season arcs

It's going to be rated R so that's some good news. It means Moon Knight might be rated similarly too, as well as Blade. And it boosts the chances of the rumours that Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Punisher are coming back.

Emma Caulfield is in WandaVision?! :datass:

I really hope that's true regarding Black Widow. Until everyone is being vaccinated effectively, I'd absolutely watch it at home via Disney+ over going to the cinema.

My preference would be to see it in the cinema obviously, but I agree - it's been ready to go for ages and it's gonna be months before we're fully safe to go back to regular public interaction, so just fire it onto Plus. I'd pay a tenner for it if I got a DVD copy and permanent access, too.

I think hybrid releases should become the norm, enough people will choose to have the cinema experience to allow that to continue to be viable and making it available domestically from day 1 just opens the doors to a wider audience

The hard sell though is the value proposition. I'd happily pay £20+ to go to the cinema with my eldest to watch Black Widow once but I'm not as likely to pay £20 so both of us can watch it at home once (or multiple times over a weekend). And yet I don't really value the cinema experience that highly so there's a weird mindset thing that I need to get over.

Some of the Netflix crew should stay gone, but the obvious 2? Absolutely should make a comeback.
