Agree. If she’s suddenly gone completely postal and nobody deems it necessary to show and tell us I’ll be really quite annoyed.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it.

But I agree it might have been better to drop it all in one go, or even to have done 3 episodes at release then move on from there.

Rex Kramer wrote:The only issue I have is that I don't think there was enough groundwork in the MCU movies with regards the mental state of Wanda. But maybe it'll be covered in the series in an after Endgame flashback.

The only times we've seen Wanda emotionally distraught were:

When Pietro dies and she just knew. She destroyed every Ultron drone around her with just her grief.

She then kills Ultron himself.

When Thanos kills Vision and takes the stone she doesn't get a chance to do anything as he smacks her away then dusts her along with the rest.

But in endgame she nearly beats him on her own. She only didn't because he got the ship to fire on them.

So there have been a couple of glimpses of her power. But only one real uncontrolled outburst. The rest have been more calculated.

They've never really shown just how powerful she actually is, or can be.

I saw someone saying that up till now she's only had 20 minutes of screen time, which isn't strange as she's always been in the ensemble movies.

This is them really delving into her and Vision.

The aspect ratio change moment was so subtley done I missed it

Been enjoying it so far. Enough intrigue to keep me interested even if I have zero idea on the wider stories.

Corazon de Leon wrote:IMO, this one should've been a one-shot release rather than weekly. The first few "episodes" are clearly designed not to have a lot of plot but introduce the world, and I think it would've worked better to have them all out in one go. That said, I've enjoyed the series a lot so far and am looking forward to seeing where it goes!

Feel the same, really enjoying it so far but think it would've been better to release more episodes at once.

Ok holy gooseberry fool I'm loving Wandavision so far. I adored the bewitched references in episode 1 and 2 and the change to colour and to a 70s style sitcom in episode 3 was really well done.

I’m looking forward to seeing how long they manage to keep that going for. If they try one per decade then we’ve got four more episodes of sitcoms(80s - Cheers? 90s - Friends? 2000s - HIMYM? 2010s - ???) then two episodes of pure action to aim at for the nine episode run. Hoping we get the last two as a double bill.

I was reading an interview where they were listing their influences for the sitcom angle and they mentioned Parks and Recreation, and now I'll be disappointed if the 2010 episode (if that's how it ends up) is anything but :slol:

They are definitely doing the talking head documentary style of Parks/The Office/Modern Family

Do we know what the 80s, 90s and 2000s influenced ones are likely to be? I can't see past Cheers, Friends and HIMYM as the "stand out" sitcoms of each era but I dunno how they'd fit the characters into those styles.

Elizabeth Olsen said in an interview that later episodes are influenced by Malcom in the Middle and Modern Family.

Three episodes in and I'm still really liking Wandavision, but there's going to have to be *something* to start peeking behind the curtain in the next episode or two. I think there is, as it definitely seemed like Ep3 was dropping substantially more background stuff than 1+2 did. I also thought that the actual sitcom stuff was the worst of the three in this episode.

Being set in a Brady-Bunch style house didn't have any of the nostalgic charm of the first two, and without having the crutch of it being a send-up of Betwitched, the supernatural stuff seemed even more out of place.

But I'm definitely intrigued enough to keep going. Is anyone more versed in the lore of the comics/characters picking up on any background details and hints? Things like house numbers and symbols and names seem to be prominent enough that I'm sure more knowledgeable nerds than I are picking up on hints (like the in-universe adverts which to a keener eye probably have more to them than 'It's strawberry floating Hydra')

It makes sense to go this way on sitcoms centred on families rather than the likes of Cheers, Friends, and HIMYM.

They could do Mork and Mindy, Full House, Everybody Loves Raymond, Married With Children, Roseanne etc. for the 80s and 90s pretty easily.

The Young Ones (80s), Bottom (90s) and 2 Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (00s)

We've already seen that Vision can pull off a convincing Rik Mayall so I'd be well up for that

There's a few hints - but this isn't direcly adapting any particular story but combining a few different aspects

Seems like a mix of Tom King’s Vison series, Avengers: Standoff and the Vision & Scarlett Witch mini-series so far.

2000s is Malcom in the Middle and it's not even close.

Have the kids growing up and it'd be a perfect fit.

The number 6 seems to have come up a lot. Or not at all in fact... anything where a 6 should be is deliberately left out such as clock faces. The toaster in the advert for episode one had “666” etched in to the toaster body.

I was thinking HIMYM as it could've been Vision talking to the kids about the events of Age of Ultron to the kids.
