Oooh, lists. I'm probably nearer this (though it can be a bit fluid). Mostly it leans more towards characters I've always loved so I'm always going to prefer a Spider Man movie to an Iron Man one.

I don't think there's much room to quibble really. Captain Marvel, Spidermans and Black Panther, Ultron even, is where I differ from what I've read most of all. It's clear they've gotten better over time though.

If I were to divide into 3 tiers the separations would go between Cap2 and Iron Man, then Spidey 2 and Iron Man 2.

It was fun to go through them all again but I think that might be the last time I do it.

Seems like you have a preference for the ensemble films Kinopio, at least I can't imagine otherwise why Age of Ultron isn't firmly down with Thor 2! Your top 5 all have multiple heroes at least.

For me my rating is a simple two tier split with Films I Would Watch Again:

Guardians of the Galaxy
Thor Ragnarok
Iron Man
Captain America
Avengers Assemble

The rest are all Films I Would Not Watch Again

(If you include TV series then Daredevil S1 + S3 and Jessica Jones S1 make the cut)

Iron Man 2 is way too high, Iron Man 3 is better than you've ranked it. Captain Marvel and GotG2 are better than you've ranked.

But it's all personal taste.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 remains one of the most disappointing sequels I have ever seen.

Iron Man 2 isn't better than anything except maybe Thor 2 which I think is worse.

For me though, those are the only 2 I would say are bad. There are definitely more average films like Captain Marvel and GOTG2 that have their issues but those 2 are the only stinkers for me.

I didn't mind Guardians of the Galaxy 2 but I caught up with all of these movies much later so I came into it already knowing it was something of a let down so my expectations were suitably lowered!

Yeah, I mean I don't think GOTG2 is bad, but the first is one of my all time favourite movies. It was definitely disappointing and underwhelming in comparison.

Winter Soldier is still the only legitimately great film for me.

In fairness I haven't actually watched either Ant-Man. I really should given the involvement of Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, it was Edgar Wright's departure that made me lose interest in seeing it but I'm told a lot of the influence on the script remains?

Yeah the Edgar Wright departure was what initially put me off Ant Man but it's definitely worth a watch and you can still feel the influence of Wright and Cornish on the movie.

There were a few moments where I thought "Oh I would love to have seen how Wright would have shot that bit" but I don't think it's that much of a problem.
