Should've got someone like Stephen Blum for Rocket Racoon.

Also Jason Statham? I've not read the comics but how many Raccoons come from London?

If a raccoon was to talk I think it'd sound like Bradley Cooper. There's a sentence that I'd never thought I'd say.

In Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and in an episode The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes in which he appears he has a cockney accent.

Cooper gets hired because girls fancy him, not his acting ability.

Can't agree/disagree with the rest but have you seen Silver Linings Playbook? Hes genuinely great in it. The guy can act.

Yes, it's a fact, he can act. He's competent, yes. You've selected the solitary role where he was more than competent (from what I've seen of his films anyway). One role is not indicative of his entire career. And since Silver Linings, he's been back to the norm for him.

Still, it's better than getting Daniel Craig, the man who turned James Bond into James Bland. Now I can't comment on what Cooper is like in interviews because I've never seen any, so of course it's entirely possible that he's actually got one hell of a personality and may bring some of that to this role. But he's still a total non entity when it comes to on-screen personality, he's pretty bloody bland.

I'm not saying it's a bit of bad casting, but I am saying that I'll be pleasantly surprised if he manages to pull of the role. Rocket Raccoon a genuinely charismatic, witty and entertaining character, and I have my doubts that Cooper can really pull of the role. With that said, Marvel have been pretty spot on with their casting history, so I'm sure he won't do a bad job...

Cooper can act but I'm sure he's going to play it for laughs which would be terrible. Rocket needs a gruff action hero voice playing it completely seriously. Jason Statham, Ron Perlman or even Kiefer Sutherland would have been better. Statham being my top choice.

Marvel Studios Wants a Female-Led Superhero Film
With their cinematic universe continuing to grow, Marvel Studios is well aware that diversity should remain a key element of their offerings. As director/producer Louis D'Esposito pointed out in a conversation today with ComingSoon.net, one very tentative plan for the future involves a female-driven superhero film.

"There's obviously a drumbeat that is banging louder and louder that we want a female lead superhero," he says. "… [W]e have strong female characters in our films from Black Widow to Pepper Potts to Peggy Carter and you never know. Maybe there's an offshoot film with one of them. Or Captain Marvel, you know?"

Although it is by no means confirmation that such a project will move forward, it is interesting to note that D'Esposito previously suggested a Carol Danvers-centric film during the Comic-Con premiere of his latest "One-Shot" short, "Agent Carter" (available with the September 24 home video release of Iron Man 3). At the time, D'Esposito referred to the possibility of a "Ms. Marvel" feature and was quickly informed by cheers from the audience (admittedly led by a Captain Marvel cosplayer) that "Captain" is now the preferred prefix.

Although D'Esposito seems to think a female-led film is inevitable, he also points out that it may still take some time in becoming a reality.

"It's hard," he says. "because we have a small group at Marvel. We do two films a year. To get those two films done and to do them right takes a lot of work and manpower. And female-power, obviously. To add a third film and to just put it in the slate right now is difficult. We have these next three, four, five films coming out and that's what we're really concentrating on."

The big screen future of the MCU, as it currently stands, is to continue "Phase Two" with November 8th's Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, 2014 through to, finally Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015. "Phase Three" will then begin with the Edgar Wright-directed Ant-Man on November 6, 2015. That's all in addition to the ongoing "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." television series on ABC and future "One-Shot" shorts.

Check back soon for our full conversation with D'Esposito regarding "Agent Carter" and how he plans to balance directing and producing as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand.

Marvel Studios Previews Their Iron Man 3-Inspired JARVIS App
Set to coincide with the home video release of Iron Man 3, Marvel Studios' JARVIS app will soon be available as a free download for all iOS devices. Today, we've got a first look at some of JARVIS' interactive menu screens, which you can check out below.

Featuring the voice of actor Paul Bettany (who recorded more than 20 hours of original audio content specifically for the app), the program is designed to give fans an interactive assistant just like Tony Stark has in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The app not only serves as the first-ever voice operated second screen experience, enabling users to unlock exclusive content from the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray (including all 42 Iron Man armors as well as a mysterious "Ghost" file), but also functions independently as a digital assistant. JARVIS can function as an alarm clock, access local weather, and post to social media.

Iron Man 3 arrives on Blu-ray September 24 with the JARVIS app going live September 10. Check back for details about what hidden content JARVIS can unlock as soon as they become available.

This Sounds Huge – Vin Diesel Reveals “A Merging Of Brands” In The Marvel Movieverse For Phase 3

I get the call, I go down to Marvel. A great meeting. It was even talking about something so big I can’t even talk about because it’s like the merging of brands in a way, which I won’t get into. That was something way, way, way, way, way down the road.

So it's either a) one of the other studios with rights to marvel movies is either playing nice or wants a piece of the marvel money cake and is allowing a character to appear in something like Avengers 3.

or b) I think (and this is based on a little comics news + rumours for avengers 2+ mindless speculation) they might be doing something pretty risky with mutants. Now in the comics atm the Inhumans are going to be getting a big push with a new book and tons more inhumans in the marvel universe, kinda like what happened to the x-men at the time of the first film the amount of them in the MU exploded to silly numbers. Now with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Avengers 2, what if Marvel make them Inhumans instead of mutants (inhumans and mutants are pretty closely linked anyway) and if that works what if they reboot the mutants in the comicverse as Inhumans thus allowing them to be used in Marvel films? Marvel are shown with Iron Man 3 they aren't afraid to radically change a character to suit the filmverse and getting characters like Wolverine in the Avengers movie would be massive for them. Perhaps the merging of the brands is the mutants and inhumans becoming one and the same.

Could just be the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy in the same film for Infinity Gauntlet.

It's clearly Riddick becoming the newest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He merked the HOLY HALF DEAD who had crossed into the Underverse and returned with powers we could not imagine, so what's a piddly little nonce like Thanos going to be able to do?

Superman is a lil bitch, Antman would obviously take him. I have a feeling it's not going to be a traditional superhero film anyway and will certainly have a lot more fun than the humour devoid Batman/Superman films, so they are not really competing so much.

Moving the film forward means they've just made a space at the end of 2015 for another Phase 3 film, so perhaps that's the female lead that they've been talking about lately.

Just can the Antman film already ffs. Since it will feature neither Ultron nor domestic abuse they'll have completely stripped out Hank Pyms primary character traits, rendering the film utterly pointless.
