I don't think we'll get anything major related to the X-Men for a good few years. Wouldn't be surprised to see Marvel concentrate on more cosmic stuff since the Fantastic Four rights come with a ton of that (Galactus, Annihilus, Silver Surfer etc.), especially with the Eternals movie coming up. It's a shame the Inhumans got strawberry floated over in that silly feud between Marvel and Fox.

You guys think we'll see the Fantastic Four and X-men characters in the MCU anytime soon? cuz the franchise mostly lacks compelling villains, and that could be remedied by the addition of Dr Doom and Magneto

I could see them turning out a Fantastic Four movie early on that ends with the multiverse colliding and mashing at least three realities together. Allows them to explain the sudden appearance of Mutants in the MCU and creates an entry point for X-Men further down the line.

I actually thought that they might have had a plan to do that here - it's probably a little early, but I wondered if the fallout from whatever they do to sort Thanos out wouldn't create mutations worldwide, and allow them to bring in the X-Men at a later time.

Are we ever likely to get a House of M movie?

I don't think Endgame will be quite as explicit as that.

It's going to clear the table and start fresh I think, with a new status-quo (Probably minus a few Avengers).

There's always the possibility of a tease though. They've shown that they can turn around a post-credit scene really fast (The Shwarma scene in Avengers was filmed after the premier) when they want, so a basic Fantastic Four or Deadpool tease isn't impossible. Deadpool is arguably the most likely as they have an active actor and character with a costume they can use.

But I'm not expecting anything at this point. I think Marvel Studios have an idea of what they want to do with the next 10 year arc, but it'll be little more than a nebulous end-point (Galactus hopefully) at the moment.

Nice! Perfect fodder for an end credits scene.

I think the big resest which is obviously coming will have a few changes to the MCU. I wouldn't be surprised if a post credit sequence was Dr Strange arriving as a guest lecturer at the Xavier institute. Or Deadpool arriving late in Wakanda saying "what did I miss".

I love how littl has been shown for End Game, as much as I love spoilers the best viewings are always spoiler free.

Wish my image sig would work

tbh they may well keep deadpool kinda separate, since he doesnt exactly fit into the PG13 MCU

Reynolds’ DP fits fine - he just will need to not swear for the PG13 films he turns up in.

Saw Captain Marvel tonight.

As a comic reader I thought what they did with the Skrulls was excellent. I'd barely watched any of the trailers for this apart from the first one so I dunno if any of that was spoiled after that. Feels like Secret Invasion is totally off the table now too which is good because that whole event was a shambles anyway.

Thought it was obvious Jude Law was going to be a villain since it's impossible for him not to be a slimy git, and the Kree are always a bit dodgy as strawberry float.

A shame Ronan wasn't in it more, I love Lee Pace totally hamming it up as him  I still think killing him off in Guardians 1 (and having him as a straight-up villain)was one of the dumbest things they've done in the MCU if they're going with more cosmic stuff in phase 4 onwards.

I called Fury losing his eye to that cat the moment it tagged along with them.

Thought the film overall was decent. Captain Marvel has never been a particularly interesting character but Brie Larson did a good job bringing her to life. Ben Mendelsohn and Samuel L Jackson (the CGI de-aging on him was incredible) were both excellent. I'd probably put it in the same lower tier as Ant-Man and Thor 1 & 2.

Fury getting the Avengers name from the photo of her was a bit cringey and forced though.

That’s how I see it. If he turns up in say an avengers film or just a crossover with another or a few others they just have to tone him down a bit. It’s not a problem as he wouldn’t be the focus of the film anyway. I’m sure Disney would jump at doing a deadpool 3 in the same style as the previous 2 films due to their successes.

it'd be like the contrast between wolverine in logan compared to him in the rest of the xmen films; sure it can work but it'll likely feel kind of neutered as the violence, sexual content and language would have to be toned down quite a bit

Captain Marvel and Ant-man the same as Thor 1 & 2?

I would have put those two in the mid-tier, a league above the first two Thors.
