Welcome to comic book narratives.

It probably won't be the Spider-Man 2 version. Jamie Foxx has said he won't be blue when he reprises the role of Electro so they'll probably both be from the MCU and not the multi-verse in the same way that J.K. Simmons returned to the role of J. Jonah Jameson in Far From Home.

Dr strange 2 will explain it all but I suspect that Scarlet Witch breaks reality and converges worlds. Then we get X-Men, Fantastic Four and more exciting..... Spider verse and maybe... Ben Reilly.

Wish my image sig would work

Whatever you do, stay away from the Spider-Man 3 news about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield joining Tom Holland!

It is definitely happening. Dr Strange is in Spiderman 3 and his sequel is called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

I genuinely don’t understand how time travel is in but different dimensions is out though. It’s pretty clearly just being used as an excuse to have “Spidey’s Greatest Movie Hits” for the 20th anniversary of his (Non-Italian) film debut. :slol:

They are absolutely going to do that "Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man" meme in live action.

If this gets us an Italian Spider-Man movie moment I’ll endure it.

The Spider-Verse stuff sounds like it will get incredibly messy but I'm all in to watch it unfold.

Watch as Miles Morales isn't in this.

Sony want to expand the Spider-verse, movies with characters they have the rights to. MM was a possibility before, after the PlayStation game raising his profile this has made him a legit mainstream character I think it’s a certainty. But Holland plays a school age Spider-Man so maybe 3 years to separate them.

I think there's a reasonable difference to be fair. Once you get into multiverse territory of multiple film versions of a character it starts to become about the franchise and the film industry itself. That kind of meta-ness is a risk for time travel storylines too but much less directly.

I'll go back to what I said years ago in that it should have been Miles in the MCU to begin with rather than a 3rd Peter Parker Spider-Man reboot.

At best I think it'll be a post-credit. This movie is making a huge deal about bringing back the old villains and the older Spider-Men so I'm not sure craming a Miles crossover/introduction into it as well would do him any favours. I'd much rather Miles get a full movie to focus on him and his relationship with Peter.

I think they could quite easily introduce him in a post-credits sequence though (I kind of expect it).

Have one of the genetically modified Spiders from the Andrew Garfield universe, (In the Oscorp lab there were thousands) somehow cross over with him. The post-credit scene is just this spider crawling around until it climbs into a backpack. Then you hear someone shout "Come on Miles!", "Coming!" and the backpack is lifted, cut to Marvel logo.

I wouldn't expect them to show him though as casting that would be a big announcement.

I'm definitely looking forward to him appearing and I do think we'll see him within the next five years. He's probably the biggest character Marvel have outside of Wolverine that they havent had in the MCU yet and he's got huge mainstream appeal so they'll be wanting to get him in sooner rather than later and I would expect Sony will have that as part of their contract somewhere.

Yeah that would have made sense. I'm guessing MM would have been seen as too much of a risk, then. Post Black Panther and MM game Sony is probably scrambling to get a scriptwriter.

Unless Sony is going to make the movie immediately the risk of revealing Miles Morales is that he will age too much before the actor's first movie unless he is boyish like Holland.

Now what would be a good twist is if the Spiderman multiverse and DCEU Batman multiverse collide and Michael Keaton plays two roles, the 1989 real Batman and Vulture. Batfleck could beat all the Spider-men up singlehandedly.

Yeah I said in my Spoiler box that I wouldn't expect them to necessarily show him, mostly because that role is gonna be a big deal. They'll want to make a proper "We have our Miles Morales" announcement, which I don't see them doing until they are ready to make that movie.

EDIT: I would love to one day see a DC/Marvel movie crossover. It would be terrible, but I still want it.

Yeah indeed, that would be much better.

The reason they didn’t go for Miles in the reboot was because it was to be part of the MCU, and Disney wanted Peter Parker in the MCU. Parker is by far the better known and marketable spiderman amongst the masses. I’m confident Miles will come but it makes so much more sense to do it as above with a film following in a couple of years.
