Oh I thought Black Widow movie was set prior to the 1st Avengers as a prequel but its actually set after her death in Endgame? Little disappointed that they're going to Undo her sacrificial death.

It's set after Civil War.

Yeah just double checked and it's between Civil War and Infinity War apparently.

Not sure it's a great period to pitch it, imagine that will confuse a lot of the general movie going public.

I'm imagining it'll start after Endgame, but the movie will be mostly a flashback.

Looks like a phase 2 film and I hard checked out when it got all superheroey. I figured we were going to get more of a Bourne espionage thing. This I have zero interest in.

Dr Strange 2 director out

Scuttlebutt is it was going in a too dark/horror route.

So expect it to now have a massive end of the world threat of a skybeam and a huge CGI army.

God forbid a film named after a Lovecraft story would be a horror film.

Sam Raimi in Talks to Direct ‘Doctor Strange 2’
Sam Raimi, who helped launch the modern superhero movie with 2002’s “Spider-Man,” is in talks to direct “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” for Marvel Studios, Variety has learned.

Raimi replaces original director Scott Derrickson, who Variety reported on Jan. 9 had officially departed the project due to creative differences. Derrickson will remain as an executive producer. Raimi, meanwhile, will need to get up to speed before the film’s scheduled production start date in May.

Marvel had no comment.

This is something of a coup for both Raimi and Marvel, given Raimi’s reputation with comic book fans — 2004’s “Spider-Man 2” is still widely regarded as one of the best superhero movies ever made. And with 15 features to his name as a director — including the beloved horror trilogy “The Evil Dead,” “Evil Dead II,” and “Army of Darkness” — Raimi is also the most established filmmaker to join the Marvel Studios fold since the earliest days of the studio, when Kenneth Branagh and Joe Johnston respectively directed the first “Thor” and “Captain America” movies in 2011.

Not bad if it works out :D

Meh...

I've never been a huge Raimi fan. Always found his movies to be a bit over-rated.

He's definitely got his own unique style though and he's pretty good at what he does.

A decent choice for Doctor Strange but I'm not overly excited by it.

I’m pleased with that actually, it has all the hallmarks of a good choice - someone experienced in both horror and superhero film-making. Just as long as they sort the dialogue out a bit from the 2000s Spider-Man films

Cumberbatch is going to look daft doing an upside-down kiss.
