It's certainly interesting to see just how strongly the GotG cast are backing him.

It was ridiculous that he was sacked, the professionally offended have a lot to answer for.

Nah, don't really have any sympathy for him since he should have known fine well what the reaction to those tweets would have been and Disney were well within their rights to get rid of him if he in any way damaged their image of being a family company. Of course, you could bring in to question their due diligence when hiring a known edge lord like him.

It wasn’t the “professionally offended”, it was Trump loving alt-right people looking to attack a Trump critic.

Not to defend him particularly but they did, as he discussed and apologised for his tweeting history in 2012 when he was hired, and then again during the press tour for GotG2 last year.

Weirdly he seems to see Rocket Raccoon as the closest analogy to him in terms of being a semi-rehabilitated misanthrope.

It’s also worth mentioning that he’s not the only director in the Marvel/Disney stable with a potentially wonky history on the platform - Rian Johnson did a mass dump of old posts when this came to light again.

It was ridiculous that Gunn was fired. His tweets where A. jokes. B. 10 years old. C. already apologised for before starting work with Disney. D. nothing worse than south park / frankie boyle / jim jeffries have performed. He was stupid for not deleting them years ago. Really hope he's reinstated, and well done GOTG cast for releasing that statement.

While I do 100% agree, comparing Gunn to Frankie Boyle doesn’t really work unless Boyle is about to be announced as the director of “Vision: Adventures of a Purple Man”.

Sarah Silverman is the lead actress in both Wreck it Ralph films.

By far the best scene in any MCU film so far, struggled to stop myself shouting "strawberry float YEAH" when I first saw it in the cinema. Bruce's line is absolutely perfect too
