The trailer doesn't really give much away but it has me hyped :toot:

I enjoyed Captain Marvel well enough, I'd give it a 7/10. Talos was great, and I liked Carol too. It was fun to see her really enjoying using her abilities and she seems pretty damn powerful, however I'm wondering if she might face some difficulties if she goes up against Thanos due to her abilities originating from an Infinity Stone? I thought they did a good job with de-aging Fury, though Coulson looked a bit odd to me. I didn't think one of the music choices entirely worked with the action in a particular fight scene, but overall I enjoyed the nods to the 90s and wouldn't have minded a few more! Looking forward to seeing more of Captain Marvel in the MCU.

Edit: oh and a great tribute to Stan Lee at the beginning!

Yeah I also felt it could have done with more 90s nods and references. Seemed a little lacking.

Hopefully seeing Captain Marvel tomorrow night.

But that trailer was spot on. Showed very little and what was shown was really nothing more than people standing around, but it was still enough to get me hyped as strawberry float.

Couple of things I spotted and a little speculation:

That shot of Rocket and War Machine. :datass:
Hawkeye is clearly going to see his family turn to dust right in front of his eyes.
Noticed that Widow's hair changes colour and style from the Blonde Bob in the last trailer (And the handgun scene) to her longer Red hair in a few shots.
Also, hard to tell but does Thor have his original eyes back in that last scene with Captain Marvel?

The problem (Or genius) is that Marvel have a track record of putting stuff that's just flat out misleading in their trailers. Look at all the stuff in the Infinity War trailer (Hulk at Wakanda) that wasn't there. Can't wait.

I like the fact that they stole their fancy new costumes from Cerberus in Mass Effect. As if this wasn't already the most ambitious crossover in history, now we're getting the Reapers as the new big bads!

I genuinely believe that shot you're talking about from the Infinity War trailer is an intentionally misleading one that's been taken from Endgame to mess with viewers. The battle will be redone. :shifty:

That's an interesting theory, not heard about that one.

I'm too snowed under with Game of Thrones ending theories to spend much time thinking about Endgame ones.

That makes sense, they originally tried to film both movies at the same time but then opted for back to back, so that would back that up.

I watched Captain Marvel last night and it was pretty good. Not the best of the MCU but a solid 7-8/10. It was nice to get a self contained story in a different time period away from everything else. I won't bother mentioning any spoilery stuff as others have covered those points already.

And my willpower to not watch this new Avengers trailer is working overtime :x

:dread: Maybe it's their idea of burying it when news is busy with the shootings...

I really hope that isn't it.

Fantastic news about Gunn. Hopefully his work on suicide squad 2 won't hold up GOTG3.

Woah that's unexpected. Wasn't the release pushed back because he was fired too?

It’s been confirmed that he’ll do suicide squad first.

That's interesting I wonder if this will now effect the tone of suicide squad. I always felt that he was going to take a lot of the style and humour of GOTG and apply it to suicide squad but now he's back on board with Disney I wonder whether this will happen.

Got to think quite a bit of pressure has come from the cast there. I know Bautista has been very vocal about his anger on the issue.

Obvs this is nothing but a good thing but I found this tidbit from the BBC article

According to Deadline, the decision was made by Disney executives months ago after he publicly apologised in July and took blame for the incident.

Weird.
