Not only is it still high, it's $600m ahead of anything else that's ever been released. I'd argue that this is absolutely because of the multiple re-releases and comparatively high ticket prices for 3D and IMAX, which the film was sold as being really important to view on.

Avatar had the 3D gimmick going for it, people went to see it because it was supposed to be the most amazing 3D ever.

And then we had to put up with almost a decade of shitty 3D movies.

I think a fourth viewing today is a distinct possibility.

Incredibly, Variety and others are reporting that while this has undershot Force Awakens' second weekend(while still being about $80m over where TFA was at this stage in box-office life), it has sunk Titanic to take second spot and break James Cameron's monopoly of the top two all-time box office placements for the first time since 2009. I think Denster will end up accounting for about 30% of its overall takings if he keeps to this pace.

I've been three times so far and I'm anticipating a fourth in the next few days, with a fifth even after that. Love it.

I've managed two. Might go a third time, but I think it's probably overkill after that. :slol:

Maybe. But I just loved it that much.

That last half hour alone is worth the price of entry.

I think it's impressive enough that the film has hammered itself into the second spot of all time after what, twelve days in cinemas? There's a real chance we're looking at the first $3 billion dollar movie here. James Cameron will be crying himself to sleep if one of the comic book movies seems to find so dull beats both of his big films out of the top two spots. :slol:

Yeah but everyone is hyped for avatars 2,3 and 4.... “the wait has been unbearable” said no one ever.

Went to see this last night, 10, 11 days after release, and the queues were out of the door.

Never seen anything like it.

I'll probably see it for a second time in a few weeks when it's quieter and cretins aren't rustling crisp packets for the entire first third of the movie.

I was actually surprised how quiet my cinema was for a 8pm Friday showing. When I went to see Infinity War I was sitting next to some banana split how seemed to have all the food in the world for the entire movie.

Oh strawberry float I didn't mention... The couple behind us would not strawberry floating shut up for the entire film. Talking in voices barely below conversational. Both of us made annoyed huffs a few times but couldn't be bothered causing a scene.

Worst thing was, this is in France and they were the only other English speaking mummy strawberry floaters in the audience! Urgh.

English people acting like banana splits abroad? That’s a very rare occurrence....
