It's probably in the top 3 Spider-Man films, with Into the Spider-verse and Spider-Man 2.

Oh brilliant! Hopefully they've kept the Homecoming momentum up well, and a trilogy is on the cards. There are so many great stories to set up as well - The Sinister Six might finally make it to cinema.

Thoroughly enjoyed that.

The first half was good, but not amazing, then the second half really got going once Mysterio finally performed his heel turn [/shock].

The blip is a great description of everyone disappearing, though I do think the world seems to have returned to normal really fast.

They absolutely nailed Mysterio, especially the illusion sequences against Spidey. Literally felt like it came from the comics. Perfect. My only complaint was that his plan was stupid.

Good to see the growth in confidence Peter has by the end of it as well. Nice to see him becoming more comfortable with being himself.

I also loved how Tony was a huge part of this despite not being in the movie at all (Apart from the old footage). His shadow looms over everything and I thought they handled it really well.

Then there were the credit sequences. Oh my.

I think I actually said holy gooseberry fool out loud when that cameo happened. There were some great reactions from others as well. Beyond how awesome it is (And I hope that's not just a one off) I love how that potentially changes things up for him and puts him in that weird position he has where some people love him and others think he's a menace.

Not really sure what to make of the second one as it raises so many questions. Though it makes Fury's line about "Don't mention her" when Peter asks about Captain Marvel make sense. Definitely looking forward to seeing it again.

Because of the spoiler tag in the above post, it looks like the heart emoji is in the middle of a black void. Very cute not gonna lie.

Haven't seen Spiderman yet but I watched the post credits scene on YouTube. It's amazing.
That cameo is brilliant! I never thought they'd acknowledge previous Spiderman movies enough to bring back an actor but Simmons is the quintessential Jameson, so it's perfect that he's back. Hopefully he'll have other appearances going forwards. Spidey's "oh sh*t" expression after his name got called out is priceless!

Given Simmons' appearance in this and talk of a multiverse in the trailers (not sure how much they go into the idea of a multiverse in the movie itself) it's suddenly a lot more possible that they'll bring the Spiderverse into the MCU, with Tobey and Garfield acting as older versions of Spiderman. It would be incredible. We already know that Miles Morales exists in this universe.

Just thought that the second post credits scene takes Fury closer to the comics, where you never know if it's the real deal or an LMD.

Really enjoyed Far from Home. The action scenes and illusions build and build. Looking just like beautiful comic pages. Mysterio was amazing and I want a lot more of him. One of the best MCU characters for a very long time.

Both post credit scenes were great. I do hate post credit scenes though. The first one was just last few minutes of the film cut off. It damages the film and means something HUGE is potentially not seen by the public and considering how important it is for both Spiderman and the other character in the scene it's madness to make it a throwaway lost credit thing.

Apart from that though. Bloody marvelous film and it got me excited for the MCU again. Something Captain Marvel and End Game failed to do.

Wish my image sig would work

so like i was the last human being on earth to see endgame

power cut in the cinema so i didnt see the last 15 minutes but whatever i get it

Gotta say, real step down from IW; lacked the character depth and tight pacing. Absolutely bloated with a mid section that was far too long for its brand of superhero cartoon bullshit. For once the last act was probably the best part with some nice callbacks and that, though the presence of scarlet witch and captain marvel kind of brought it down for me because those characters are still pretty gooseberry fool (also lol that part where all the women superheroes rally behind captain marvel was strawberry floating stupid; surely if they wanted to do a scene like that it should have been led by someone more established, like black widow?). It's like they leaned too hard into whimsy and humour despite the setting and context of the film, and yeah three hours of that did not sit well with me at all. This version of Thanos was also far far less interesting than his portrayal in IW and that was perhaps the most disappointing part of all.

There were some nice call backs to iron man 1 around the end tho and I liked that. idk this film just feels very unnecessary in a lot of places

Just seen Far from Home and I loved it, much better than Homecoming and probably the best Spidey movie so far. Mysterio was great, really hope they get him back for a Sinister Six movie.

Mantis was there. She'd definitely be great help in battle /s
Loved Pepper's Rescue suit. Hate Brie Larson so her fronting the A Force was annoying.
That said, why didn't Captain Marvel do the snap the moment she got the gauntlet? She probably would have survived it given her strength.

Good point about how the middle of the movie was too long but, personally, the entirety of the third act made it worth it. Love you 3000.

Is there a post credit scene right at the end of the credits of Spiderman?

There is. It's got a mid-credits and a post-credits scene.

The mid-credits scene is literally the end of the film they've cut off and put in the credits.

It's a bit annoying when they do that. The mid and post-credits scene should be additional snippets of missable information, not necessary parts of the story.

Saw Spiderman yesterday. Must admit I didn't enjoy it as much as I was hoping. Though my opinion of Homecoming was below general consensus too, and I thought Homecoming was better than this. It was fine but that's all really, didn't think any of the jokes were particularly good and dialogue in general just wasn't very punchy. The best stuff were the character interactions and school trip stuff. The action just seemed like vfx soup and way to much of it. The illusion sequences were good though. Thought Fury was really weird throughout the entire film. The post credits explained it though and if Jackson deliberately altered his performance to account for that it definitely came across. I really like Tom Holland but he was a bit mopey in this and are they really going with him being 16?

Also I guess Tony Stark just had several satellites full of killer drones huh.
