David Tennant is playing Purple Man in the Jessica Jones show.

The former Doctor Who has been tapped to co-star in Marvel's Netflix drama series Jessica Jones, Marvel.com announced Monday.

The straight-to-series comic book drama is one of four shows centering on Marvel heroes that Netflix has picked up straight to series. The streaming service has committed to a minimum of four 13-episode series, which will begin rolling out in 2015 with Jessica Jones.

I'm actually quite happy with this casting, as long as he doesn't go for an American accent.

He's from Yugoslavia. Really Enver Gjokaj would have been the best Purple Man but they cast him in Agent Carter.

I knew he was European. Like I said above though I'll be quite surprised if Killgrave retains much of his origin beyond having the power to hypnotise and being a shady bastard. The only thing worse than Tennant being American for 13 episodes is Tennant trying to be Eastern European for 13 episodes. :dread:

So Hellcat is a superhero? Does this mean the Defenders team will be larger than the 4 title characters? I guess Jessica Jones works for superheroes so it doesn't necessarily mean all of the heroes that show up will appear later down the line as well.

Just finished American Horror S3. I'm not sure why it gets a lot of hate compared to the previous seasons - It actually has a coherent plot. :lol:

Shame S4 isn't on there though.
