Yeah it was fantastic. The hairs were standing up on the back of my neck through, so so good.

We finished the series last night, apart from the Karen episode (because all she does is look at the floor and cry), I loved it and I'm gutted it's over. It did wrap up nicely though

Reflecting on the ending I'm actually okay with a S4 not happening if it was going to be full Bullseye, because that target in his eye at the end was full-on comic book, and that's partly what made S2 so much worse than S1 and S3.

The Karen episode seems to fit the Netflix trend of throwing in an entire flashback episode before the final act, and yeah wasn't great. See also that episode from Stranger Things S2.

Nice, only recently went through Punisher S1 so this will sit nicely into my viewing schedule.

Sadly I think we only have this and then S3 of Jessica Jones left now.

Marvel do seem to keep making statements that are designed to get people's hopes up that we'll see more from these shows but I just can't see it happening.

Apparently there’s a 2 year window between Netflix cancelling a show and Marvel being able to move that particular show or its characters to another network. Not really sure where that rumour originated though but I’ve seen it repeated a lot

So we could see some of the shows/characters pop up elsewhere from next year.

Kristen Ritter insta:
"Taken a few weeks back at the table read for our series finale," Ritter wrote on Instagram. "I love these people to the moon and back. It has been a dream to play Jessica alongside my amazing cast and the best crew in the business for these past 5 years. I am so grateful for every second of it. We have the best fans. You guys mean the world to me and I appreciate you beyond words. The final season of Jessia Jones is coming later this year and I am proud of how we complete JJ’s journey. I can’t wait for you all to see it. Stay tuned and more to come."

In an open letter to fans, Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb:

Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters... but you know Marvel better than that.
As Matthew Murdock's Dad once said, "The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it's how he gets back up."

Not getting my hopes up, even if I would be really happy to see some more from these casts.

Did the second season of Defenders already get pulled?

There was never a plan to do more than one, which is a shame because even though season 1 of Defenders was underwhelming I think they could have really done something great with a second season.

It was never confirmed as a thing, so can't be pulled/cancelled.

Royce Johnson who played Detective Brett Mahoney in Daredevil, Jessica Jones and The Punisher
"I mean, talking to [Marvel TV president] Jeph Loeb, I read that the memo had said, 'To be continued,'" Johnson says of the show's future. "There is a clause that I heard through rumor that we have to wait 18 months, up to two years."

Amy Rutberg who played Marci in Daredevil
"There is this very real contract with Netflix," Rutberg said to Inverse. "I had heard 18 months, maybe it’s 2 years. I suppose it’s possible that Marvel could buy them out, but I have not heard so much as a whisper."

If anyone should know it's Marci, she is a lawyer

I can't wait to see what Disney can do with the marvel tv shows. I always felt that they should compliment the movies more overtly, with cameo appearances and frequent crossovers. The frequent references to "New York" and "The Incident" never amounted to anything, and even Agents of Shield was lame without the cameos. X-Men could finally find another format that makes it not gooseberry fool (beyond the comics and Capcom games).

Also, Star Wars TV could be the best thing ever, since Rogue One and Solo were better than Episodes VII and VIII...

Now that they've been cancelled, i wonder if there'll be disc releases for those remaining netflix seasons, the last to come out was the first series of Iron Fist, and i would have particularly liked to have seen The Punisher.

Indeed it is, seasons 3-5 in particular are absolute classics.
