This game is a lot of fun when you're a newbie and the game is just giving stuff away to suck you into continue playing it. However, I now find myself at what I assume to be the mid-point of the game (I've unlocked the new token shop, and I am now being awarded caches instead of mystery cards when Collection Level increases) and all the good stuff the game was giving away (cards, credits, gold and even experience) has gone from a steady stream to a trickle :cry:

Would be cool if each card told you about the character. Like a little lore entry or something. Each variant could add more information to each character.

Same. Progression has dried up, decks and effects are getting more wacky and broken.

I did only spend £2.99 on the game though so I got my money's worth :lol:

Only just started this weekend but Luke's Bar is really difficult to manage early game. Although I'm sure most of my Iron rank games are against AI, as I still haven't lost a game.

Thankfully it has gone now! I realised thia was the reason for my rank drop (54 down to 39!) Once I rebuilt specifically for the event, I started to climb back.

I have removed my favourite cards in exchange rattling through the 4 energy cost cards. Seems to be working ok.

It has one, Enchantress, if the player is daft enough to play it in round 5.

Edit: also Leader nerfs it in round 6 if you have space on all locations.

Sure but like, if they have moon girl they'll get two and then there's nothing you can do and they can play one on turn 5 and 6. Or if they reveal last there's nothing you can do. Plus enchantress is absolute garbage if it's not countering anything.

It's such low risk high reward.

The fact I have to read exactly where someone is placing a card to get 12 power with Gamora, meanwhile someone can just have 5 cards in their hand to beat that with DD (which isn't hard with cards that give you more cards, which in itself is a bonus)

90% of decks in pool 2/3 run DD because it's stupidly overtuned. Making it a reveal card would make it acceptable in my eyes, at least then Cosmo could counter it and you couldn't boost it's power further after playing it

Ronan the Accuser is Devil Dinosaur but tied to your opponent's deck so is theoretically a counter. It's quite an underutilized card tbf.

Just managed to claw my rank back up to 52 after dropping from 54 to 39! The land events really do push you to tweak your decks accordingly, which is nice.

At the moment, I'm focussed on cards which boost from being destroyed. It's quite annoying when the featured land does not appear though! Also, just unlocked Sunspot, which seems to be pretty OP when played well and should benefit from the energy boost in the current event.

Just had a crazy last round.

Full stakes game. Middle location: on reveal effects happen twice.

I play Infinaut next to Sunspot to take my total power to 26 and a winning position. Opponent plays Doc Ock and pulls two of my cards to the location - Jubilee (no space to draw) and Carnage, who obviously eats all my cards! Suddenly I've lost 20 power and the game. Then because of the location and the space now available he draws two more cards - Scarlet Witch and...SHANG CHI! Doc Ock gets destroyed and I end up winning :lol:

It's not really a counter, it's just a worse version of DD because you have no control over it.

For example if you were going against a discard deck then he'd be absolutely useless, where as DD wouldn't have that issue.

DD just needs some kind of nerf.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I haven't unlocked Deadpool. It was a bit of a thrown together deck based on the destroy feature, but it actually worked straight off the bat with minimal changes. Hopefully I'll unlock Deadpool soon and can make the change, but I'm still climbing the ranks (55 now), so it's definitely working in the current event. I might try it with Angela, as placing lots of cards is definitely an option with the current setup.

Another viable approach could be to use some cards which remove the destroy ability from the area, which would probably cause other players to struggle if they have built a deck around the feature.
