Assemble your Ultimate Team with some heroic new additions. The Fantastic Four will join the alliance to take on the man in the iron mask himself, Doctor Doom, when MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order DLC Pack 3 – Fantastic Four: Shadow of Doom releases on 3/26!

Incredible that the Fantastic Four weren’t in this from the start really. Marvel’s first family my arse.

Expansion Pass has been terrible. Characters are cool but stupid you need to go through all of the 'new' challenges to even get them, with no additional story.

Yeah there was zero chance of me buying it when I found that out. Glad I waited.

I've got this but haven't started it yet. If I buy the DLC, can I unlock the characters before playing the story mode?

I believe you have to make progress / complete challenges to unlock the additional characters, Dragon.

Thanks jawa. I'll look up the characters when I get around to starting it to see if it's worth buying.

Very tedious. Look at guides etc to see if you can be arsed first, game dosen't give you any hints as to how you get all these characters you've paid for.

You have to progress through the stages in Gauntlet mode to unlock the DLC characters.

GoNintendo wrote:Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is getting some paid DLC on March 26th, 2020. That DLC is the Shadow of Doom pack, which includes the new playable characters Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Thing, Human Torch, and Doctor Doom. If you don't feel like coughing up cash for the DLC, no worries. Some free content is coming as well.

As you can see in the image above, a new round of free costumes will be made available. Enjoy new duds for Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cake, Elektra, and Deadpool.

On March 25th, 2020, you'll be able to grab free costumes for Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, Wasp, and Crystal. That makes 10 free costumes in total for next week!

Even more free costumes are arriving... behold the Guardians of the Galaxy!

...and more! Expansion Pass owners also get these new threads! So that's a total of fifteen outfits arriving on 25 March
for everyone and nineteen for Pass owners.

The DLC strategy for this baffles me. Are people honestly going back to the game just for outfits? This expansion pass sounds like one of the worst value out there - even the new characters had stupid unlock requirements with no actual new content to play.

Really wish these outfits had just been there day 1 as unlockables as you progressed through the game

And unlike the earlier MUA games, aren't the costumes purely cosmetic?

So looking at buying this - was the DLC worth it in the end for someone playing from scratch.

Hasn't dropped in price so still a pricey option even for base game.

Only the last piece of DLC (the Fantastic Four stuff) was proper story content.

Probably hasn't dropped in price because it's published by Nintendo.

The final DLC has God Emperor Doom so of course it's worth it.

I have an urge to go back to this and start playing again, I finished the story mode previously and was tempted to grab the expansion pass when it next goes on sale (has it gone on sale before?) and play through the extra modes and stuff

Did anyone bother with the last DLC pack that had story content?

I'm still waiting for a sale too before I buy it.
