I originally ditched it after 7/8 episodes. When I went back to it it started to improve from the 1st episode I hadn't seen, then by the time the winter soldier tie in came around it was much better.
‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Spinoff Not Going Forward At ABC
I hear ABC and Marvel have put the breaks on the proposed Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff. The project was supposed to be set up by events from this season of S.H.I.E.L.D. and toplined by Season 2 cast additions Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood, revolving around their characters Lance Hunter and Barbara “Bobbi” Morse aka Mockingbird. ABC and Marvel had no comment.
ABC and Marvel also are secretly working on a potential series with John Ridley, who will be busy with a second installment of American Crime, just picked up by the network.
Glad to see some Hunter appreciation, him and Mockingbird have helped improve the show no end so I'm glad they're staying and the spin-off has been nixed.

Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) embarks on a deadly new secret mission to protect the world from new threats in the wake of SHIELD's wars with Hydra and a rogue faction of Inhumans.
Everything came together really well I thought. Shame the Hydra influence fell by the wayside, I think they need a big win next season to make them a threat again. Really liked the Ward/Bobbie thread (Ward killing 33 is just going to make him even more strawberry floated up) and making Skye's mum the villain was a good call, as was killing Raina given her precog could have become a hindrance plot-wise.
Cal was very goofy-looking when he went full Hyde but that didn't last long and I like how his arc came to a close. Jiaying trying to kill Skye was pretty shocking actually and Cal killing her too. Kyle MacLachlan was fantastic as always, so it's a shame they wiped his memory. Mac chopping off Coulson's hand was a great moment too, and the Fitz fake-out in that same fight. Also what the strawberry float was that final shot about?
Nice little Civil War hint at the end too and could Skye's team be the Secret Warriors?
Great season I thought. First half was very strong, the second had a little too much going on so felt muddled at times, but they brought everything together in an impressive way.

Was that Fish Oil shot suppose to be ominous? Because it came across as strawberry floating hilarious
I didn't read it that way, I thought it was meant to be a fun way of them saying "there's going to be more Inhumans next season"
Thought that was a pretty average finale. The show has had its high points this season but it seems to have been more bad than good. I feel the 22 episode format is really hurting the flow and there was far too much filler episodes.
I'll consider be giving next season a miss if they make Ward the main villain. He's such a boring banana split
If Skye does end up forming the Secret Warriors I won't be shocked if most of them are yet more dull characters created specifically for the show. I'm still amazed at how little influence the show takes from the comics. Daredevil pisses all over it in that regard (and for everything else).
