Someone change the title back to the "why can't he see" thing again.

If you say that after episode 9 don't post again.

The fighting a good but there's not much else to the series for me. I don't know much about Daredevil but I really find this version of him dumb.

In what way? There are so many strong characters now that even if you don't like one there isn't long to wait for another to turn up.

I mean the turning up to work with cuts and bruises has gotten way out of hand but the character is fantastic.

I'm probably paying too much attention to the powers nonsense. I wish they would just say what he can and can't do because one minute he's in his flat fumbling around for a bottle open and the next he's leaping through a roof into a strange building then walking over to pick something out of a draw that he somehow knows is in there.

His steadfast policy of not killing anybody was kind of fine in the first series as he was just dealing with run of the mill mobsters and crooked cops, but now it just seems daft as he's coming up against mass murderers and people that are actually in a fight to the death with him. Also a couple more training scenes I feel wouldn't go amiss, as it stands I feel like there's a massive disconnect between his lawyer persona and The Daredevil.

He "fumbles around" when he's in the company of people who think he's just a regular blind man. It's not that hard of a concept to figure out. :?

But that's the whole point of his character, he doesn't kill. Much the same way with Batman, once you've crossed that line you become the monster you're trying to stop.

And your last point, I took it in that this series (I haven't finished it yet) he is facing that exact issue. He's trying to lead this normal life, trying to use the power of law, trying to have relationships but it simply isn't enough with the position he finds himself in. The scene that perfectly summed it up was the moment he and Karen had a moment on her doorstep and the instant he walked away he couldn't ignore what was happening in Hell's Kitchen, that he simply couldn't just be Matt Murdock.

No he doesn't he fumbles around all the time. I just put an episode on 2x11 and within 5 minutes he's fumbling around for a door handle in front of night nurse.

Not really a big deal though, surely?

Finished season 2 last night, I don't think it's as good as the first. Still way better than any of that Arrow/Flash teeny twaddle.

They really went over the top with gore this season as well, it's just unnecessary. What makes them think anyone wants to see bamboo twigs being pushed under someone's finger nails.

It's been a long time since I watched that, but his power was explained a lot better in the film and it seemed to stick to its own rules at least.

Imagine how grumpy Herbi would be after reading one of the comics :dread:

At the start of 2x13 he's cleaning blood of Sticks face with a wet tissue

He's not blind  :fp:

In 2x12 he's fighting ninjas he can't hear because they don't have a heart beat or whatever so he's getting beaten up. So he listens extra hard and somehow hears stick whispering God knows how far away through concrete walls and gooseberry fool and what does he tell him 'go deeper! Listen to their breath'. What in the actual strawberry float.

It's so dumb, do the writers do this intentionally?

Herbi comes to Marvel for realism.

To be fair, the "listen to their breath" bit was pretty dumb. Like Matt wouldn't have been hearing that anyway and figured it out for himself

He has to really focus to use his powers so when he knows the doorknob is basically right there then it's easier to fumble for it than concentrate to hear it's resonant frequency or whatever he does, especially if he's had the gooseberry fool beaten out of him and is not 100%

Punisher stole the show

''Saying it's because I was controlling you and making you sad when actually I just asked you to wear some trousers''
