First major disappointment of the season so far upon watching episode 5: Electra ass. It's..... horrible. Practically non-existant. :( Not even looking forward to her suiting up, now.

Really enjoying this so far. On episode 6; Castle's been sidelined a bit at the moment but the way that the show has brought in his backstory is strawberry floating genius. I assume that because everything's horribly classified that there'll be some big conspiracy behind it rather than it being a random act of violence, which is a shame because it's quite a big departure from Punisher's classic origin but it makes sense in the framework of the show. And Jon Bernthal is strawberry floating fantastic as Punisher. I can't imagine anyone else playing the part in this show now I've seen him.

The Punisher Netflix series has already been announced hasn't it?

It was rumoured but nothing official still. I'm pretty sure it's going to happen though! I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up in The Defenders before then.

I finished last night. Really good season, and it was strong throughout. Really liked all of the characters and their arcs too.

I think having the story follow that many people helped with the pacing. Some parts of the first season, as well as Jessica Jones felt a bit drawn out which I never felt at all watching this.

Finished the second season. Don't think it was quite as good as the first. Elektra and the Punisher were great and the short time The Kingpin was in it was absolutely awesome. But the ending just lacked something, It was obvious what was going to happen. Hoping they create a Punisher Mini-series though.

I hate how much time they spent with Karen Page, She was annoying in season one and even more annoying in the second.

Just finished. Superb.

a fantastic follow up to last season. The suit was actually great, the promo photos looked dodgy and I didn't like it at the end of season one but the red eyes were a great touch. Very impressed. The cinematography and choreography were excellent. I watched Arrow again and it's laughable bad in comparison.

This was dark gritty and brutal, exactly what I wanted from a street level superhero show.

Punisher was amazing, lost pace a little after his prison escape but still stole the show for me.

I like how they brought back Fisk, alluding to him pulling strings even when in prison, a theme they can continue whether he returns on screen or not.

Really looking forward to season 3 now. This truly is the benchmark for all superhero tv shows. It's closest rivals couldn't be further away in quality (not counting other Netflix marvel stuff)

Watched it all over the last day or so, really great stuff. Certainly tops S1 and Jessica Jones. It benefited hugely from having two major plot strands and a wealth of characters to draw from. It still had problems though. The Hand are laughably terrible as an antagonistic force, their ninjas are so easily disposed of even a nurse could kill one of them. Also, the mystery surrounding their plan isn't explained at all - though I suspect the Black Sky and the pit are being held back for what's to come

The strength of the show is its characters and cast. Charlie Cox is excellent once again, and the two newcomers are wonderful. That Bernthal monologue in episode four is outstanding. Elodie Yung was great too as Elektra, if not to the extent of the other two. I was also glad to see the supporting cast grow as well. The newspaper editor was pretty one note last season but worked well here, and it was good to see Brett's role expanded and him not being killed off like most people of colour with recurring roles on this show. Karen and Foggy worked too I thought, leading the story at times and not playing catch-up, and their growth as characters made sense. Especially for Foggy, who started the season irritating (it's like his dialogue was written for a pre-teen character) but grew some bollocks by the end. I was happy with where Karen and Matt's relationship went as well, after being quite sceptical when it all started

Also: Stick :datass:

This is quite a bit better than Series 1. Dem fight scenes.

Foggy is getting more and more annoying though hes like a disgruntled ex.

Jesus. Not denying she's stunning, but that ass is more featureless than a launch-day Street Fighter V.

Where's Anung when you need him?

That was spectacular. I'll post full thoughts up in a little while but quickly;

Jon Bernthal is the Punisher now. the character never translated to the screen in the right way until this season and I think Bernthal is absolutely to thank for that.

Both the Punisher and Elektra have hopefully been rehabilitated for the screen now; this season is living proof that with the right writing and casting the characters will find an audience.

Charlie Cox really grew into the DD role this season, I thought he was great last year but he really nailed it this time round.

I didn't find Foggy and Karen as annoying as some people seem to have, although Karen has a knack for turning up in the wrong damn place at the wrong damn time.

I think a few others have said that this season was far better paced than last season, they seem to have drawn in that criticism because episode 13 was fantastic all the way through.

I'm sure I'll have more to say but I'll wait till tomorrow.

And done, fantastic stuff from start to finish, Punisher was excellent and Elektra was an interesting character, I wonder if they'll bring her back for season 3 - I'm assuming she'll replace Nobu as the semi immortal head of the 'Hand' after being put in that Lazarus pit style Jar thingy
