Two episodes in and good stuff so far. A stronger start than the first season.

The end of episode 8 was a nice surprise. Wasn't expecting to see Fisk again.

The last third of the first episode blew my balls off. Straight up Terminator.

The last few minutes especially

I now have to choose between getting food or watching episode 2. It really is an obvious choice.

Started watching this and realised I didn't quite finish the first season

Now I'm having to go back and work out exactly when Karen made me stop watching

Oh gooseberry fool. The end of episode ten gets you so pumped up for the next ten minutes and then it just finishes. Would be well pissed off of this was something I was watching live and had to wait a week to see the next one.

Minor episode 11 spoiler. That guys face in the cafe after the Punisher had been hitting him. :dread:

This has been excellent so far. The first series didn't really grab me until about episode 8 and the whole thing took me a couple of months to get through. I've watched five episodes of this already.

First episode down and my opinion of Punisher so far is best expressed in gif format.

Image

Episode 1 Spoilers
They finally got him right. Partly it's down to him being in a format that really lets them work with the character as opposed to a movie. The whole episode, but especially the final 5-10 minutes just said so much about him.

Criminals utterly terrified of him.
One man army.
Doesn't hold back.
Doesn't kill the cop.
Tries to walk away from fighting Daredevil when he has the chance.
Only shoots him when he has no other way out.
Bang.

Anddddd finished.

I absolutely loved it. Didn't get bored once on my binge watch today.

End of season thoughts, one minor character spoiler, the rest is just impressions:

The Punisher was bloody brilliant. The bit in the last episode where he's up on the rooftop with his rifle and he's got the skull painted on his vest is just quality. I really liked Elektra too, thought she was a great character and a very nice edition. It was nice to hear a couple of references to Jessica Jones and see someone turn up in the last episode too. The scenes where they were being lawyers were really good too, was great to see Foggy kicking ass when talking to the DA early on in the season. The torture scenes were pretty gruesome too, the drill through the foot and in particular the stick things into the fingers made me really not want to watch that.

Will probably post more impressions in the morning once i've really had time to digest it all, but overall I thought it was great, and definitely better than the first series.

Just watched the first three episodes, which is all I have time for at the moment. I cannot understate how much I love the fact that they just jumped straight into the action this time around, which I suppose they can do after establishing everything in season one.
