They managed a really neat trick, by making him genuinely sympathetic at times, despite his unquestionable "villain" status, and at the same time without making him seem like less of a threat.

Agreed with this. Fisk was interesting, he is very similar to Daredevil in that they both want to improve the area and will fight to achieve their aims. The main difference being that Daredevil wants to improve the area for normal/poor people, Kingpin wants to bring in the rich.

Oh and of course the other difference is that Daredevil doesn't smash peoples skulls in car doors. ;)

But he does stab people in the face :shifty:

and burn them and, smash their faces in and throw them of buildings.

Pedantic point but did he know Red Ninja Dude was covered in petrol and would catch fire when he offed him? Genuine question I can't remember how the show portrayed it

I kind of took it that he did, i'd need to re-watch but as he has heightened sense of smell and can kind of see i figured he reacted with what he had around him to make it happen.

He knew, but by that point he was nearly dead so probably didn't care. The way it was shown indicates he deliberately created the Sparks, why else would he do that if he didn't know about petrol

Just finished watching this. strawberry floating incredible. Soooo good.
Kingpin was amazing and Vincent did a great job of playing him, such a psycho. Excellently shot and it never felt like a superhero show.
Genuinely shocked when Wesley was killed. Had a feeling that Ulrich was going to be killed but I thought they were going to blow up his car. Fisk "I'm here to kill you" just :dread:

I've missed all the Easter Eggs but I've just got the man without fear so will read that and then check up on the!.
Can't wait for Series 2!

Just finished episode 11 last night, gonna finish it off tonight. Really great show. Vincent D'Onofrio's weird acting really bugs me, though. He always has the same stupid expression, too.

Finished this last night. Great show overall. Really ramped up in the final 4 episodes. Didn't like that they killed off almost all of the secondary characters, especially the ones like Ben, who was really interesting and seemed to be killed for nothing more than shock value. Also, Vincent D'Onofrio bothered me 'til the end. Such odd acting.

Looking forward to season 2.

I haven't read/seen any Daredevil media prior to this. Are his powers always this over the top?

Well you have been posting in this thread with progress on how far you've gotten etc. Now imagine if you had come in and saw that spoiler you just posted before reaching that episode.

I don't know if we're posting/not posting spoilers or not but it seems like something that could be easily hidden just in case.

Daredevil audition tapes have leaked on vimeo again, these ones are for season 2...

"looking for actresses with martial arts and dance experience"

No prizes for the character

I am hoping they get Sofia Boutella from Kingsman: The Secret Service

Just finished watching this.

Know absolutely nothing about the character and was just told to watch it by a few people at work.

I preferred the black mask suit to what I'm guessing is the proper one in the last episode, really liked how the face mask was like a blindfold and it's a shame that didn't carry to the red mask.

Couldn't work out if a the guy playing Fisk was a terrible actor or playing the role superbly

Exclusive: Daredevil May Have Found Its Bullseye
According to a trusted source at Marvel's new TV production offices, Jason Statham - star of The Transporter film franchise, this year's Furious 7, and this summer's action comedy Spy - is being pursued to play Bullseye in season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil Netflix series. It is not yet confirmed as reps would not give me a call back.

This isn't Statham's first dance with Daredevil. Just before the rights for the character reverted back to Marvel, he was said to be in talks to appear in a cinematic reboot that 20th Century Fox was trying to get off the ground.

Image

Our spies spotted him meeting with Marvel personnel earlier this week while taking a break from the press tour for Spy. Aside from Bullseye, other villainous characters who are said to appear in Daredevil's highly-anticipated second season include Mr Fear, Mysterio (one of Spider-Man's iconic rogues), and Elektra - Daredevil's eventual love interest.

Also quick note that Marvel's Daredevil seaon 2 is set to start shooting at the end of June early July not in the Fall.

Stay Tuned as the story develops.

The only way there could be better casting is if all the characters were dropped and re-cast as Statham. Stath-Devil season 2; make it happen.

Statham?! :dread: :dread: :dread:

I can't stand him and his films. Next it'll be Simon Pegg :toot:

Statham should have been Rocket Raccoon.

Edgar Wright isn't doing Ant Man any more so I think we're safe on that front.
