Watched it all over the last day or so, really great stuff. Certainly tops S1 and Jessica Jones. It benefited hugely from having two major plot strands and a wealth of characters to draw from. It still had problems though.
The Hand are laughably terrible as an antagonistic force, their ninjas are so easily disposed of even a nurse could kill one of them. Also, the mystery surrounding their plan isn't explained at all - though I suspect the Black Sky and the pit are being held back for what's to comeThe strength of the show is its characters and cast. Charlie Cox is excellent once again, and the two newcomers are wonderful. That Bernthal monologue in episode four is outstanding. Elodie Yung was great too as Elektra, if not to the extent of the other two. I was also glad to see the supporting cast grow as well. The newspaper editor was pretty one note last season but worked well here, and it was good to see Brett's role expanded and him not being killed off like most people of colour with recurring roles on this show. Karen and Foggy worked too I thought, leading the story at times and not playing catch-up, and their growth as characters made sense. Especially for Foggy, who started the season irritating (it's like his dialogue was written for a pre-teen character) but grew some bollocks by the end. I was happy with where
Karen and Matt's relationship went as well, after being quite sceptical when it all startedAlso: Stick
