Thanks for the heads-up, Milner. That's a great price but I've given up on supermarket in-store offers... they seem to be pretty localised and my Tesco store hardly has anything game-wise!

To be honest, I full expect this to drop to under £25 after Christmas so it’s worth holding off for now.

I took a look at this tonight. Spent fifty minutes in the opening room admiring the wonderful range of 80s paraphernalia and detailing and checking out the photo mode.

Grabbed this during the sale on PS5, GameCollection had it for £28.45 yesterday and with my reward points it knocked it down to £23.40 :toot:

will start it up when it arrives.

Wow! Bargain price, IM. I'm glad that I went for it, too - I was really digging that 80s vibe last night! In that opening room, it was amazing to see a Colecovision console on the floor and the games surrounding it :-)

Yeah I’m glad I went for it, read a lot about the story in this being really good so I’ll get stuck I once my copy arrives!

They updated it recently as well so it has ray tracing and such haven’t they?

It does seem that a ray tracing option was included in the last update although I didn't notice this aspect last night. Will take a look later!

Got this yesterday and have played around an hour. Seems like fun and the chat between party members is generally pretty funny. One thing that needs to die though, squeezing through gaps to hide load times. It's so hackneyed now.

I am on Chapter 7 and the story has me genuinely interested in where it is going. My other problem is, that the other characters have much better moves than Star Lord, it's a shame you only directly control him.

It also seems to limit what extra grunt is available from the newer consoles because those sections are a fixed length and they're integral to the level design. Anyways, game is very fun and the writing is a particular highlight.

That was a cool boss fight Dweller in the Darkness. I can see why the combat gets some criticism as there was way too much happening on screen at points and it just seemed I was spending all of my time healing the rest of the Guardians.

Has anyone else had really shitty frame rates with this? I'm on a section in a space station and it's virtually grinding to a halt.

Finished this the other day and really enjoyed it. The characters are close enough to their respective MCU counterparts for it not to be too much of clash but there is enough of a difference to make them interesting. The writing is very, very good and the story goes in some interesting directions. I'd definitely recommend it. Still had some terrible frame rate issues on Series X but I've not seen anyone else reporting them so not sure why. If anyone wants an Xbox physical copy for £20 inc delivery then drop me a line as I won't be playing it again (got most of the achievements and can't be arsed to hoover up the missing 5 or 6).

This is on my list to be the first game I play in 2022 :toot:
