The reviews seem to indicate the default difficulty makes the combat too easy and doesn't force toy to use any interesting tactics, where as upping the difficulty does.

Probably why there's a disparity in the gameplay impressions

For EG it was the opposite problem, they found the combat fiddly, convoluted and generally difficult.

Seems like a bad take honestly given what other reviews have said

Reminds me.of an older GameTrailers review where they said doing the 3 hit combo in Drake's Fortune was hard.

I've had a mess with the first hour or so and really enjoying it so far.

Few hours in now, this is excellent.

Combat can be a bit fiddly sometimes but still good fun. Wouldn't say its complex enough to be convoluted though.

Writing is superb and had a few laugh out loud moments. The world is excellent too, vibrant and gorgeous with lots of great little details for us nosy bastards.

Far from souless game I was half expecting it to be.

Rocket is a insufferable banana split in this. I'd mark the game down by a quarter just for being forced to put up with the little strawberry floating prick's constant whining and snarling.

Played the demo for the switch version and I found it absolutely horrible.

Not content with binning off Deus Ex for this garbage they have to piss all over us by putting an Adam Jensen Easter egg in the game. :x

This feels like one that will be doing the rounds in black Friday events, is it worth a punt at £30?

I've not played it myself but it reviewed well, Rex; the Metacritic is 80 after 93 assessments of the PS5 version.

I enjoyed it. There are some difficult spikes.

The only fault I have is the team is very chatty and it’s very difficult to follow it via subtitles while you’re travelling around the map.

Game is more than worth it at £30. It's an absolute joy to play through and the characters are absolutely fantastic.

Can you increase subtitle size? I find that helps a lot.

Yeah I can. But it doesn’t fix it really.

I'd like to try this; I've seen a number of screenshots popping up on my Twitter feed and it looks great. Gotta hold off for now but it's a game that'll look out for further down the line.

...and, just like that, it's now £34.99 at Amazon!

So tempted but must resist.

If it hits £29.99 on PS5 this Friday I think I would take a punt on it
