GAMEPLAY TRAILER

I really liked the look of this, glad it’s single player focused and not a GaaS like Avengers was.

The SP bit of Avengers was ok, and the engine was pretty good. This feels like a good idea to try to recoup some money!

Fan of Avengers game here but this looks like a load of old bollocks. They stopped making Deus Ex…for THIS?!?!

This looks pure trash, why channel everything about the movie versions of these characters if you aren't actually allowed to use the movie versions of these characters?

The comics have space for so many interpretations of the various Marvel properties and yet they seem to keep going down the most boring ones.

I thought this looked great :shifty:

the characters of Gamora and Drax look more like their comic counterparts than the movie versions I think. The thing that will mostly make people think of the movie versions is the soundtrack, they have stressed though that this is their own version of the Guardians so its too soon to judge it based on the slice we got to see

I too thought it looked great. Not a massive fan of Marvel, but this looks like a pretty decent Mass Effect-like.

It looked like a solid 7 or 8 to me. Probably not something I'd rush to, but I could see potential. Depends how in depth the combat actually gets when you get more tools, because I'm seeing those Vanquish power slides and chemicals are happening in my brain.

This looks absolutely shite.

The range of opinions on this is quite something. I think it looks alright, it all looked pretty solid. I can certainly see why you wouldn't get excited about it but I struggle to see how people think it looks awful

It's so bland and the section where he plays music and I don't know 'he can fly then?' was cringe.

The animation is stilted and rigid, fighting things seem to have little to no impact on the creatures he's firing at, I mean look at him sliding backwards, for no actual reason, seemingly on a whim you can now fly about on your back because he did it in the movies.

It's strawberry floating atrocious.

The combat looked pretty forgettable from what they showed, but I liked the dialogue. Telltale style "Rocket will remember this" might lack subtlety and nuance but it's fine and easy to follow. I only know the films and that dysfunctional family bickering is a large part of the identity, that came across pretty well in what they showed.

I think this looks really average, verging on crap. Really surprised by the range of opinions on this one. Thread needs a poll.

Special award for awfulness goes to Star-Lord's hair as well. :dread:
