I'm up to episode 9 now. I am really starting to feel sorry for Killgrave :( he may be a monster but playing back his past and torturing him like that wasn't needed.

Episode 9 ending.... omfg :dread:

Just finished Episode 8. So good.

I love the tone and how they're playing with the Hero/Villain relationship. I had started to wane on Marvel's output but this is getting me interested again. Can see myself checking out Daredevil after.

Spent ages working out where I recognised the woman who lives above Jessica, realised she just looks like Theon from GoT.

I think the jeans and leather jacket combo is kinda her 'look', besides that she's a depressed alcoholic, her wardrobe is probably the lowest priority for her.

She does mix it up a bit later on by wearing a white top

Ending was bit crap.
Whole last episode just kind of plodded about a bit. Was seeing Luke get shot, after he walked out of a burning building earlier on, supposed to be emotional? Also, how does Killgrave know Luke has powers?

Still loved it, wouldn't have finished it so quickly if I didn't enjoy it, but it certainly peaks around 'Sin Bin'.

I thought the ending was a bit crap too, plus there should have been a Daredevil cameo rather than just a mention

also

Anyone else think the chemical that gave Jess her powers might be the from the same company as the one that blinded Daredevil? and about Killgrave knowing about Luke - weren't they were both in the same research program as kids, Luke's file was on that flashdrive Reva was killed for

Getting towards the end of the series now. I think Will Simpson is Nuke, the Daredevil/Captain America villain. Which will strawberry float everything up when he goes PTSD/pill mental and loses his gooseberry fool entirely

And done. Thoroughly enjoyed that, would probably say it's on a par with Daredevil. Last episode was slightly anti-climactic just like Daredevil's was but overall, a great continuation of the Marvel Netflix/Television Universe.

3 episodes to go for me. Episodes 8, 9 and 10 really stepped up the show's game. I was enjoying it before that but it got really, really great all of a sudden. However, I'm getting a little tired of Kilgrave being caught and them promptly escaping. What is it, 3 times now as of the end of episode 10? I'm sure it'll happen again, too. David Tennant is just fantastic in the role, though.

The escaping did get annoying  when the twin sister let him out I was screaming at the TV. MY GOD.

But it does make sense with his abilities I guess.

Finished this on Friday. It was really enjoyable!

Tennant was amazing, I did feel really sorry for him in many ways which is great writing. Usually villains are evil just because but Kilgrave's story felt very real.

Luke Cage was great despite what I originally thought about the casting so I take that back. The guy is huge, sweet Christmas

The only negative from this show for me was how they handled the last episode, I really wished they had knocked Kilgrave out instead of killing him off. It would have been great to see Phil Coulson and Daisy Johnson turn up at the end with a containment unit to take him away, leaving the door open for him to return somewhere else down the line (possibly) and also as a little nod to SHIELD.

Now I hope that we get a Season 2 before The Defenders to help flesh out some more of the Characters. I want to see Hellcat and Jewel  :datass:

Spoilers obviously:

Sorry, but this is a textbook example of why some fans should never have their wishes realised on screen. That would have been awful and a complete a tonal catastrophe  I like Agents of Shield too!

Anyway, I'm up to episode 7 which had a small thing annoyed me. Why the ever-loving strawberry float would Malcolm not explain what happened and that he was about to show Trish a corpse before going into the bedroom, if we didn't want her to scream!?

Killgrave had to die. Moreso than any of the other dead Marvel villains from the films. He's a rapist, murderer, torturer, generally sadistic bastard and most importantly someone who genuinely doesn't know right from wrong, and is incapable of distinguishing between the will of his victims and his own will. You can't have someone like that running around because it's only a matter of time before they get out and come back for you.

How good is Tennant in this? is his performance enough to warrant watching this, he's usually very good in most things I've seen.

He's excellent. I just watched episode nine, the best so far, and he was phenomenal.

All I can say is keep watching.

I just finished the season and I still don't get it. Yeah, he's obviously part of the super soldier program but why does he look like Steve Rodgers?

Jessica changed her clothes at the very end! I guess it was done on purpose to fit with the whole making a new start/moving on from the Kilgrave era of her life theme but it still never failed to bother the gooseberry fool out of me throughout the entire season. I'm gonna miss David Tennant a lot. He was by far the best thing about it. Lester Freamon, too. I thought he was gonna play a much bigger role that he did. I was super pissed when he was killed.

Overall I thought it was great but kinda lumbered here and there. Final episode was much better than Daredevil's in that it actually had closure and wasn't just a cocktease for future seasons.

This is great. I knew literally nothing about the character before going in to it but it's won me over big time. Just finished Episode 10 last night. The scene with Kilgrave in the little jail telling his mother to stab herself with the scissors for every year that she deserted him was just pure :dread:.

Thought I had finished this, so I've been reading spoilers left, right and centre.

Turns out there was another episode. :fp: No wonder I thought the end didn't make sense.

Melt.

I did something similar and managed to skip an episode when I was watching it. The last thing I saw was Kilgrave escaping, the next thing I saw was the aftermath of Hope killing herself. I thought it was going to be a flash back and have some kind of "In the last 24 hours" moment but i'd just skipped an episode completely somehow.
