Can see Mysterio as the game’s challenges character.

I hope they don't just use Mysterio as the next Scorpion/AA's Scarecrow hallucination enemy. He deserves something unique rather than a copy paste of tried and tested mechanics.

Platinumed. :toot:

Haven't 100% new game+, but there isn't really any need to. Really enjoyed the game, but it could have done with being a little bit longer.

Finished the main story. Loved it. My only gripe was that it had some glitches with Miles's dialogue disappearing for one of the side missions.

Holy gooseberry fool at the costume you unlock at that shop  My amazement went further through the roof when I used a finisher in the costume :o

Completed this, and mopped up as many trophies as possible, on the PS5 yesterday. Just have the NG+ playthrough to do to earn a couple more trophies and the Platinum.

Playing through the last couple of end game missions yesterday - and wearing the Programmable Matter suit - gave some of the best 4K HDR graphics I've ever seen, it was simply stunning. Reminded me of watching the Snoke/Rey/Kylo Ren lightsaber fight in The Last Jedi - all the bright reds bursting from the screen. Really fantastic.

As for the game - 9/10 for me. Having played through the first game only recently, it felt like more of the same thing (obviously), but with enough differences to make it feel like something new. And it definitely felt next-gen, the speed, the graphics...the almost instant loading! :)

Been really enjoying this on PS5 after starting it today, though I think some of the web swing mechanics don't feel quite as solid as the previous game. I've found that the Zip to point mechanic doesn't seem to be quite as intuitive/fluid/accurate as the last game.

I'm liking the new abilities like the Venom powers though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt this. I don't know if it's down to them making changes to the game or the the triggers on the Dualsense being tighter which means it takes a fraction longer to shoot your webs, but it took me a while to adjust to it.

So, my Christmas day was pretty much sitting watching my son (7) finish this (on normal difficulty).

That's the story spoilt for my run through!

Had a hard crash on this on PS5. Back to normal now though. Just done the cat side mission. So far it's more of the Spider-Man gameplay magic of the last game. Enemies seem tougher though and many require venom powers to deal with.

Music is excellent as is the acting and feel of the city. Playing in performance mode with ray tracing off. City is busy and sidewalks loaded with people. Also love how they make random remarks when I land near by.

Wish my image sig would work

Started this on ps5 earlier.

Holy gooseberry fool does it look incredible. Vibrant rich colour everywhere, insane detail, Ray tracing that is actually noticeable at all times rather than being a freeze frame and compare screen shots thing. Amazing stuff.

I agree. I've just started it yesterday and what a beginning to start with!

I finished this today. The story was far too short, and if I'd not been bothered with the collectibles, I'd probably have finished it in a couple of sittings. Fortunately I AM Interested, so will be going through a NG+ run to get everything.

Looked absolutely incredible at times. During some of the fights I felt like this:

Finished this today. Overall I thought it was brilliant, and I prefer Miles as a character over Peter, so I hope the next game lets us chose which Spiderman to play as.

Just a shame the length of the game was so short. I did everything, took my time, got all upgrades etc and completed a NG+ run within a pretty short time.

I hope they try for different traversal methods in future games. Keep the web swinging, obviously, but I remember playing the first game and thinking I wish I could move about the city like one of the baddies. I think it was the electric dude. A new main Spider-Man character/alternate timeline city location would be other welcome change.

It is but it doesn't feel as Christmassy as something like Arkham Origins. For parts of the game I even forgot it was supposed to be Christmas. It's just snowy and cold looking when you're outside. I only really remember seeing Christmas decorations during cut scenes.
