Looks like a in between game between the first and second Spidey games but damn I am excited.

Don't care if it's akin to an expansion. I'm looking forward to more Spider-Man.

Really hope there's nothing like the Miles/Mary Jane sections from the first game :dread:

i think the original game will be there, and this will be like a very big dlc type of story.

I'm playing it right now and am loving it. Took me ages to to like it, but once I got the hang of free-fall+swinging, boosting, etc I bloody love it.

If it's the original game with a bolted on shorter Miles campaign, that's less interesting.

I'm still convinced it's a full sequel. We'll see soon enough.

IGN reporting it's just an expansion. Basically a Remastered first game with more Miles added.

Shame, I wanted a full game not just a DLC. Having said that, I'll definitely be getting it.

Initially I was a bit skeptical of how they introduced him in the first game as I thought it would be cramming in too many characters but they pulled it off so well that I really wanted a ton more from his character by the end of the game.

I'm guessing the full sequel will be Peter Parker and Miles based which will be a really good mix if they can make their spiderman sections sufficiently different.

I had assumed this was just a new game. Guessing it will be like Infamous First Light then.

See, for Mafro the PS5 version would be the perfect entry point. They need to make sure people who own it tho only pay for the expansion, which I'm sure will happen.

Having a smaller Miles based game before a full blown sequel is a good idea as it means the sequel doesn't have to keep jumping back to him training. Now the sequel can have him fully trained up right from the start and the game can flow better.

I was saying to Cora that a two year turnaround for a next gen sequel to one of the biggest games on the PS4 was insane, as well as Insomniac also releasing a new Ratchet & Clank, so to hear it more of an expansion makes more sense.

They are calling it a 'standalone' game which fits with it being similar to Lost Legacy or First Light

They really should have been clearer about what it is though, there's so much confusion online about what it is.
