Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales | PS4/PS5 | OUT NOW

It looks like no free upgrade to the PS5 remastered Spider-Man but perhaps a paid option might be available

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered is an enhanced version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, and is included as part of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for the PlayStation 5. In addition, players who purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PlayStation 4 can upgrade at no additional cost to the PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and can take advantage of a paid-upgrade to download Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered.

There are no plans currently to offer Marvel’s-Spider-Man: Remastered as a standalone. Players with a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 can purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition to experience Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered on PS5. Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 also will be backwards compatible on PS5.

Most of the Bat people come from Bruce Wayne’s creepy family as well, don’t they? There aren’t *too* many instances of completely new people taking on identities with no relation to the previous fellow are there? Seems to be more of a supervillain thing - like the Hobgoblin, who actually licenses out his likeness to other villains.

The main advantage of buying the PS5 version on disc is that you don't have to wait for it to download. If you buy the PS4 version instead, you then have to rely on the servers being decent otherwise you could be in for a long wait.

What to look out for in the PS5 version of Spider Man:

Many art assets have been updated to take advantage of the PS5 console’s horsepower.
Better-looking characters with improved skin, eyes, hair, and facial animation.
Ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows
with improved lighting.
More pedestrians and vehicles stretching into the distance.
Optional Performance Mode for a targeted 60fps frame rate.
Near-instantaneous loading times
3D audio
Will make use of the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback.
Three exclusive costumes

Fidelity mode for me, can’t wait :wub:

I think I'll go fidelity too although I'll definitely try 60fps before making that decision. A solid 30fps at constant 4K sounds better than what I assume it's 60fps dropping out of 4K when things get busy.

It’s the added visual effects I am wanting to see most, I bet it will look amazing swinging around a snowy NYC

I ordered the ultimate edition from Amazon as I only briefly played a mate's copy of the PS4 Spidey.
