Basically spent all day on this and it's very much more of the same. I'm up to 54% completed now and will try and have it finished tomorrow as i've got such a huge back log I want to try and get through things as quick as I can. Overall it is still a really enjoyable and a 'cool' game to play, you feel cool flying through the city and the combat is great. Only downside is there's not much utilisation of the Dual Sense. Even CoD had more than what i've experienced so far and that's a multiplatform game!

'More of the same' is absolutely correct but it's still massively fun and it looks and feels perfect. I think the slightly shorter story is perfect for a launch game when we all have a big influx of games fighting each other for our immediate attention.

The Venom punch moves are a really nice addition to the combat though. Not game changing but they look lovely and shiny and feel really crunchy.

Favourite suit so far is the hooded jacket with black camo cargo trousers. Looks really cool.

Yeah and it’s full of bugs. I crashed into a building and somehow Mile Morales got stuck in the building and you can see him running about inside.

Clearly rushed for the PS5 launch. I don’t think I’ve encountered a single bug in the PS4 Spiderman.

Slightly obsessed with OG Spiderman again. I'm kind of stuck with it as my little boy is mad on Into The Spiderverse so I can't play Miles when he isn't around. I guess for me, Batman 1989 was the best superhero movie I saw until the first Toby Maguire Spiderman came out, so I absolutely love swinging around New York again. One of the few games I feel compelled to play more than once.

It must be extremely fun, as its keeping me off Ghost of Tsushima which I adore as I've always wanted to be a Samauri as well as Spiderman. Definitely feel blessed with the PS5 launch line up, I don't remember being interested in anything on the PS2, 3 or 4 for a good 6 months after launch. I guess PS5 has cheated somewhat with PS5 patches and remasters, but I can't complain.

David Blaine used to do a card trick not unlike that. He also lacked stability....

Just finished this, absolutely loved it! Brilliant ending, Insomniac have got the superhero game genre down, love the work they have done with Spidey.

Little tease at the sequel as well after the credits, no spoilers but I am very much looking forward to what they have planned for the full blown next gen Spidey.

Did they change Miles's voice actor? He sound way more youthful than I remember him sounding in the original.

So just finished the main story in this tonight.

Another fantastic game frankly, though I would have been happier with another hour or two, but that's the biggest nitpick I have.

I've done most of the side stuff as well, with only a side mission or two to finish off and I'll be going back to that tomorrow at some point.

Story spoilers (This and the 1st game)
Phin/Tinkerer was annoying by the end. Told several times it's gonna blow up and just ignores it because she knows better until lo and behold it starts to blow up more than she expected.
Didn't think she especially deserved the redemption given by her sacrifice at the end as it was mostly her fault it was happening to begin with.
Was glad to see Prowler do the right thing at the end though. Felt like the relationship with him and Miles was far more interesting and I would have liked to have seen more done with that.

Beyond that the sequel tease at the end was straight out of MCU. Told us strawberry float all.
I mean we already knew about Venom from the first game right? Though I can't remember if Kurt Conners was mentioned then so that might have been new.
Looking forward to seeing what they do with the Lizard next time.

So yeah I'm really happy with this and can't wait for the next one.

I would hope to see the next one late 2022 or 2023. Gonna be great. :D

I think they've made him sound younger so that there's some difference in age between him and Peter.

As for the new Peter... he's better with the mask on.

I think this is the first time Kurt was mentioned as a character in the game, I don’t recall him being spoken about in the first game.

No, Connors wasn’t in the first one.

On othe note, it seems unlikely we’ll see this form of Norman Osborn as the Green Goblin?

I was thinking that events in the second game maybe lead to Osborne becoming the Goblin in the third game. Would love the third game to focus on a Hobgoblin/Green Goblin story arc, I could see something like Something happens to Harry in the next game which Norman blames Peter for, Norman creates the Goblin stuff and hires the Hobgoblin who fails so Norman decides to do it himself.

If Hob/Green Goblin and Lizard are in the next game (highly likely) I'm going to be a very excited boy (almost definitely).

Would be interesting to see someone visually impressive like Hydro-Man or Sandman rendered on the PS5. Here's hoping.

ITSMILNER may be correct.

Harry’s Venom and The Lizard will be in the next instalment. Harry dies, and Norman went crazy and become the Green Goblin in the third game. May team up with the sinister six.

After that Peter get gravely injured and retires and Miles Morales takes the job alone and finish the threat off. Thus ending the Spiderman trilogy while Insomnia moves in to other projects.

Yeah, this is something I could see happening, GG deserves to be the main villain in a game and as the villain to cap off the trilogy he would be perfect

I hope we see Mysterio as a villain, they could do some really cool things with him and his projections
