We did similar to a guy in work, we created an account of a woman in Facebook, lead him on for a few weeks then stopped. Come to think of it he was a bit down for a while after we stopped! :|

Pffft. I text my mate pretending to be a girl he had a one-night stand with for a while. Then told him he had given me an STI.

Nah you gotta do it.

Or drop stuff like, I hate being single or whatever, but I don't think I would be lame enough to join a dating website, stuff like that.

Also don't let the chicks know, chances are the more people that know the more chance of him finding out its you.

Hm, I could say stuff about dating sites. Makes me wonder how long he's been on there, don't think it says on your match.com account.

I know! Girls would not find it funny at all. I dunno if I'll tell any of my mates TBH.

During work related chats, just keep saying the word 'match' too much.

I don't know what you do for a job, but you've got:

'I don't think these figures match'
'Do you think this tie matches my eyes?'
'Did you see the match the other day'
'Matches are really useful, aren't they'
'I really like the word 'match'.'
'What do you think of this, Match, er, I mean John*' (*replace with his name).
or if all else fails
'Match.com is for sad people who can't get dates, isn't it? What's your opinion?'

If he's half a man, he should be able to laugh it off, no harm done. And you've had some fun taking the piss.
