Being as nobody else seems to have made a thread for this game? Loved the first 2, this trailer looks brilliant, looking forward to playing more above ground. If anyone wants to take over the thread please be my guest.

:toot: Yay Glowy! I was waiting for someone to make this.

Game looked like Metro and I loved it. The bloody thing even had its trademark BS jump scare in there :x

I think my favourite thing about it was how *solid* the beasty (the one that the player grapples with early on) looked. Bodes well for the other monsters.

I'm a fan of post-apocalyptic games and this looked great. I hope that the release date is early in 2018; it feels like it could be a good game to play in January and February.

Surprised its got literally no attention. The first two games, LL especially were very special.

Cant wait to see what they've done with this one. Going above ground is good. Hope there are no librarians :dread:

Last Light was awesome. Glad to see the development team is seemingly doing well, after the stories about Last Light's troubled development.

Finished the first game but only played about 5 minutes of Last Light and ended up getting shut of the Redux editions at CEX. The Metro games are on sale on Steam so nabbed Last Light Redux for around £3.50 so no excuse now before Exodus gets released.

2033 was fantastic, Last Light wasn't quite up there but was still amazing. I need to try to 100% LL soon.

Kinda disappointing to be leaving Moscow behind so soon, as I had hoped to explore some of the other lines. Oh well, it looks phenomenal and should be a great game, and a nice change of pace. This is the kind of wonderful surprise reveal that I love about E3.

It really is a treat to discover that a new Metro game is on the way. I'm keen to find out more in the coming months!

Indeed, but what I would really like to see is Metro VR.

Funny, because up to now it's really been the other way around. But I guess that it's a good thing - the changing nature of Metro's world ought to ensure the series retains a fresh feel to it, preventing it from growing stale so quickly. I hope that train is heading somewhere interesting. :toot:

Id like to know what has happened for him to be able go up onto the surface?

Maybe it's a version of the Seven Ten rule?

The danger of radiation from fallout also decreases with time, as radioactivity decays exponentially with time, such that for each factor of seven increase in time, the radiation is reduced by a factor of ten. For example, after 7 hours, the average dose rate is reduced by a factor of ten; after 49 hours, it is reduced by a further factor of ten (to 1/100th); after two weeks the radiation from the fallout will have reduced by a factor of 1000 compared the initial level; and after 14 weeks the average dose rate will have reduced to 1/10,000th of the initial level.

I have no idea. Metro's up-to-now uninhabitable surface is actually probably closer to Chernobyl's general heavy radioactivity than having anything to do with the Seven Ten rule. Good shout.

Given the way LL ended, I'm wondering if this game might be set a decade or two down the line? At the very least I'm having big doubts that Artyom will be our hero again.

Just spent 2 hours on it, as good as the first game. No idea why I didn't even play it when I had the Redux collection on PS4 but boy it still looks good on PC.

This is one of the games that I’m most looking forward to in 2018.

After two successful games sets in the post-apocalyptic Moscow underground, the Metro series is ready for its moment in the sun. Ever since we watched the impressive debut footage at Microsoft's last E3 press conference, we were eager to learn more about Artyom's journey through the irradiated Russian countryside and how developer 4A Games hopes to pair the traditional, linear Metro experience with some of the open spaces and focused exploration of its progenitor – S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. This past month, we journeyed to 4A Games' headquarters on the gorgeous Mediterranean island of Malta to find these answers and more.

I have this on Pre-order and I'm super excited for it.
I recently played Last Light and I loved every second so a new story with upgraded graphics will be amazing.
