Currently playing metroid fusion in preparation for this. I only had 3 hours on my save from 7 years ago, so I just wiped the save and started fresh as I'd never remember what's going on after all this time.

It's bloody great, I love metroid games so much. Shame there's so much forced hand holding with the info rooms (forcing you to interact with it to open the next door rather than it be optional). I've got the suit upgrade that allows you to absorb the blue X stuff.

I loved Fusion, but then i get kind of anxious if i dont know where i need to be going in a game. For the more hardcore Metroidvania fan I can see how it could seem restrictive.

Debating if I should play Fusion now before Dread, I have it on 3DS, is it short enough I can get through it before next week?

It's not massive, I reckon you could get through it easily enough before Dread.

Bloody great game as well.

The game doesn't feel like it's going to be that long, I'm currently on 3 hours and I have a lot of powers now, maybe just a few more to get. If I had to guess, it's probably going to be around 10 hours.

Cool, I might fire this up tonight then and give it a go, I don’t think it has save states mind so will just play it as is.

It marks main save rooms on the map as you enter a new area, and they're pretty easy to get to so at least you're not far from one for smaller play sessions.

Fusion is definitely short and sweet, should easily get through it before Dread comes.

I'm also playing through Fusion in anticipation of this.

Yesterday I made it further than I ever did back in the day - finally managed to beat Nightmare.
