Thanks. It's more the swapping from decent sized buttons to fiddly little ones, and my muscle memory not being able to cope.

Edit: Just did it on my first try with the pro controller 8-)

What a game

100% items, clear time 12:09:47

Fuuuuuuck, I thought it had unlocked the actual game zero mission at the end, but it was just a picture

I've just gotIce Misslesand returned to Ferenia.
I'm not sure I'm going the right way about accessing the missile tank and it's driving me nuts.

Dashing in from the train room, getting the boost, jumping and bouncing off wall and continue boost into small tunnel to the other side and then try to get out of the ball and go ShineSpark

I'm not sure it's doable, especially the last bit, but I'm getting so close....

For that one I think you charge the Shinespark when you reach the top, duck into the tunnel and fall through, then Spark in mid-air.

You can spark while in ball form. So you wall jump up there with boost, slide through the tunnel, store your spark, slide back in, bomb open the tunnel, then spark up iirc.

Turns out it's not just the credits: MercurySteam are not the best company apparently. Sigh.

Nintendo will not like these reports. I wonder if it harms their prospects for future games.

What makes it worse is that by the sounds of things they've been reported over this kind of stuff in the past and seemingly nothing has changed.

Hopefully this makes more of a stink for them now and they can't just ignore it.

I know this is unfortunately standard in the industry once you hit a big enough studio, so I'm not surprised. But it would be nice to have a success story that isn't bogged down with some "Yes, but..."s.

Anyway, this industry is trash and decent work conditions seem like the exception than the norm. But it's still good to out them. But I can't see this going anywhere if it's just a case of "my lead and director contradicted each other". It's shitty, but we've seen companies squirm out of way worse. Don't forget that Nintendo are still openly working with Ubisoft.

I use a Blue Yeti, but also have a few filters set up on OBS to make it sound a little better.

Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Just finished with a clear time of 11:40:03 for 100% items. Exceptional game, really hoping this leads to a Metroid renaissance and that Nintendo starts treating it as an A-list series again rather than waiting another twenty years for the next sequel.

Ending spoilers in here
Final boss was hype as hell, especially with the reveal that comes before it. Took me a lot of tries but it's the good kind of hard - harsh but fair and requires you to learn patterns rather than just keep throwing yourself at it.
Kind of sad that the Metroid Suit didn't get more time to shine, would have loved a proper boss battle against X-Beak as the big finale but I guess that might have dragged things out slightly too far.
The very end was a little confusing - can't work out if Quiet Robe didn't fully succumb to the X, or he somehow overcame its control, or if the X just decided that the only option it had left for self preservation in the tiniest sense was to hitch a ride in Samus' DNA one last time. Either way, hopefully they follow through on how things developed here in future games - it's a hell of a setup so it'd be a shame if they didn't. Can see Samus being made a fugitive from the Federation because she's too dangerous to live or something - maybe bring back some of Hunters' other bounty hunters to try killing her.

Mission complete.

Final boss wasn't as hard as I'd anticipated based on the comments I read beforehand, but it was still an engaging fight - the challenge in regards to bosses (and some mid-boss encounters, such as the spear-wielding Chozo warriors) were a major strong point throughout. The way in which this game portrays Samus' attitude is another notable highlight, including her sleek armour designs (gotta love that final transformation just before the escape sequence :datass: ) and environmental staging - all excellent in their direction.

Most likely my GOTY.
