You are crushing this Super Dragon :D

I'll never complain about Nintendo giving away free content, but I wonder how many people will even bother giving Dread Mode a serious go. It seems like the sort of thing only a very small pool of people i.e highly skilled, 'professional' stream gamers would try as an endurance thing.

I'll be all over the boss rush mode though. I wonder how whether or not you'll have to restart from the first boss if you get a game over.

I think you're right but as much as I enjoyed it, I'm kind of done with it. Some games (like Mario Odyssey please) are so ripe for DLC. Dread was a tight experience and I feel norished from the base game and doesn't really need a DLC.

I'd be all over a new 2D adventure in a few years though.

The most joyous part of the game. By this time you can storm around, annihilating anything in your path. It feels like there's nothing Samus can't do.

Just started playing this.

Did anybody find the controller input lag? It was horrible to play it and I kept dying for stupid reason! I tried to play it on handheld and it seems a lot better, but I prefer to play it on the TV.

I've tried re-calibrated the controller and it said everything is working fine. :?

That sounds frustrating.

I don't recall having any issues with controller lag in this - always seemed very responsive.

I think I played the majority of my time handheld to be fair.

No lag for me and I played it entirely in docked mode.

Could it be the TV?

Zero lag for me, the game felt very responsive, which is crucial to the experience for sure.

Although I played handheld exclusively, feel 2D suits handheld more, especially a game like Metroid.

Is the TVs picture setting set to game mode?

Yes it is. I had no problem with it since I had Switch.

I've updated the controllers and disconnect it. Synched it up again and it seems working okay so far. Fingers crossed.

I'm going through this at the moment, currently just after picking up the screw attack - I'm going back through earlier levels to pick up collectibles before moving on. I've read the final boss battle is a corker and I think I'm getting fairly close now as Samus has very few problems decimating the run-of-the-mill monsters we come across.

The final boss is fantastic in this, a real nice test of the skills and abilities you've collected throughout. In terms of mechanics and how it builds on what you've experienced throughout the game I think it's genuinely one of my all time favourite game bosses.

What I really like about the final boss (and quite a few of them actually) is how absurd they feel at first and then you slowly find your rhythm and learn to read the patterns and it all comes together. Feels great

I thought I was in the Elden Ring thread. I was baffled by you getting the screw attack, and then I clicked on...

I've just picked up the Wave Beam. Having the Screw Attack made it a lot easier to outrun the EMMI until I managed to power up the Omega Cannon. I think that Golzuna gave me more trouble for the Cross Bomb. I'll look to explore where I can with the Wave Beam on my next session.

Is Golzuna the stupid three tier crab monster? That annoyed me a bit - I just killed it there. Onto the Emmi now, but trying to do it with no sound in bed. Maybe I’ll come back to it tomorrow.

Just beat the boss - Chozo Solider

It's been pretty good, but I have to admitted that EMMI can be little annoying! :dread:

I haven't beat it yet, but it is frustrating. :fp:

Watch the patterns and "tells" for when certain attacks are going to be used, it's one of those bosses that at first glance seems ridiculous but you can definitely turn the tables on once you get the measure of it!
