This either means an E3 reveal or a bored social media manager has decided to strawberry float with the Internet.

Does look like it's a new image FWIW.

It's a cryptic clue to the state of the project: that's Samus getting put into long term storage because they have given up on making it again.

Nothing since I was able to confirm that Sylux is in the game. But...

Watch this space, Metroid fans.

Retro Studios have updated their Twitter banner with this image. *Obviously* this means that Prime 4 is close to release! :toot: .

Well at least they've produced something in the last 3 years. That Retro work ethic. :toot:

Why does that poll have so many options when there aren't that many Metroid Prime games and where is Metroid Prime Pinball?

They're credited under Special Thanks on Mario Strikers.

Maybe provided some DK assets, those absolute workaholics :toot:

A Special Thanks mention? Add another couple of years to the MP4 release date then!

To be fair, it's not like they're not working hard! Could be any number of reasons why previous projects were cancelled by Nintendo.

It has become tricky. If it's still a Switch game, they get to release it to a market of circa 130m users... but it probs ain't gonna look fantastic to have a game eight years in development releasing on seven-year old tech. If it is now a Switch 2 game... relatively low sales, at least initially.

Is it gonna be a Switch/Switch 2 dual release as with Breath of the Wild on the U/Switch?
