I would actually love someone to buy Sega now as they have done nothing note worthy with their great IPs in years! I want a new Jet set Radio, A good Sonic game and a new Eco the Dolphin

There's more to Sega now than their nostalgia IPs though. They've been putting out consistently great Yakuza games for 15 years, for example.

Yes that is a fair point and I think they have released some great games through some of the studios they have acquired of the last few years. I've really looked into Yakuza but with the PS4 collection maybe I should give it a go.

Yeah, after Bethesda people are going nuts but they're a much better fit for MS than Sega are. Also, worth noting Bethesda being sold was on the cards for the past few years according to Michael Pachter. I doubt that's the case with Sega.

MS will buy 2 more studios at least but they will be individual studio's, nothing as big as Zenimax, Asobo is a dead cert, no idea who others will be.

If Microsoft buy a big Sony studio it'll be worth it just for the online meltdowns.
Yeah certain communities would genuinely lose it - we'd have millions of tiktok videos of people smashing ND/Sony/MS stuff to vent their anger at the situation.

Reading more into numbers and things and, I really don't think any Bethesda game is going to be releasing on PS5.
I mean, for PS5 sales, after publishing, Sony taking a cut and that also being a one off payment, the direct profit would probably come down to what? €30-40 max. Best case scenario ES6 sells 10m units on PS5 so that's 300-400m. If we take Gamepass numbers now at 15m (they might go up to 20-30m by time ES6 releases), taking away 5m cos of the discounts (which is way over doing it I reckon) they getting approx. 100m a month, so in around 4 months would make that much from PS5 sales... and keeping it exclusive should drive Gamepass memberships and Xbox Consoles to sell, which is a better overall win.
Having the games free on the service drives Game Pass memberships regardless of exclusivity. Releasing on PS5 is just extra cash, plus goodwill towards those gamers (which might translate into add-on sales, DLC etc).
