Really looking forward to giving it a try on PC. I've got a work iPhone but I'm not really fussed about trying it on there as I imagine it will be basically the same as the experience on Android
Getting disconnected due to inactivity is pretty annoying, speaking as someone who will regularly leave a game on pause for a while before coming back to it if I need to step away to do something else, especially if the game has sparse checkpoints or autosaves.
I get that it's necessary, as there's only limited space for players on the servers, but it's definitely something that I would find irritating long term.

I have the Power A Moga grip which is probably the best reviewed grip and works perfectly. Haven't used it that much because xCloud isn't great in my experience.

The service is good in itself from what I've played, latency on an ethernet connected PC is low, and much better performance wise than on a WiFi android device, but my problem is that although you're playing on a PC through the browser, you're still limited to the same cloud library as android was, including console versions of titles rather than the PC version.
It just means that the service doesn't work quite the way of like to use it. Ideally, I'd be able to fire up a game in browser, see if I like it enough to justify wanting to fill up my HDD with it or not, then switch over to the full installed version so I can run the game with full graphics options, etc. But outside of first party titles, cross platform saves are not standard, and also, games that would be ideal to have not filing up huge amounts of storage so I can play them for 20 minutes here or there (I'm looking at you flight simulator) just float out aren't on streaming, as they're only available as full installs.
I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy the flexibility of streaming in browser, but it's just not for me at the moment.

I still think it would be a cold day in hell before Nintendo allow anything approaching a full-on game streaming service on Switch, even with a favourable revenue share. I therefore think this might more reliably relate to more Xbox franchises on Switch. Microsoft could make a nice sum if it ported over all their 1st party Xbox 360 titles.

What if it’s about adding Nintendo franchises to Game Pass Cloud?

Only if Nintendo's next console takes the form of an airborn hog!
I have nothing against the idea. Its just we're talking about the most conservative company on the planet when it comes to franchises. I hope its the other way as I'd love to have Perfect Dark HD on Switch.
Got a new phone yesterday, so I thought I'd try out xCloud on it. Disappointingly, my problems were still there, pixellated and laggy. Barely playable. Then I remembered this.
Garth wrote:Does it support 5GHz wifi? When I tried it on 2.4GHz on my old tablet it was a lot more laggy.
Checked Wi-Fi settings, switched it over. My god, it's glorious. The lag is almost unnoticeable. Thanks guys!
