I've not had any problems with button mappings or anything like that, but I guess it could be a device specific problem?

I picked up a cheap micro to USB C lead from Amazon for a couple of quid which has done the job nicely and is the perfect length to go between the phone and controller with no excess which is nice!

Just in case anyone was on the edge of their seats waiting for an update, my PS4 pad paried up no problem with no button assignment issues and no discernible lag. The share and options buttons are even mapped to the corresponding (erm) rectangles and .... lines buttons on the Xbox One pad.

Have found latency to be close to non existent on most occasions, although i did have one session where it just never cleared up and was continually lagging. Ran a speed test and everything was ok on my end so i'm guessing it was server side.

Biggest issue is that my Pixel 2 screen is just too small to play a came with any level of comfort. I don't see it being something i will use unless it makes it over to iOS, where i can use my larger iPhone screen or my iPad.

If it’s the one in the thumbnail, the Razr Kishi. USB C connection so no latency issues that some notice on Bluetooth.

Tempted to get a Chromebook for this, but maybe I'll just wait until they bring it to Windows and try it on my laptop instead...

Either way it would be nice to have it on a larger screen.

Thanks. I got one from Amazon and it fits my phone perfectly. Playing Sea of Thieves on my phone in the park with no noticeable lag was like magic!

I really need to dig into my router settings or something because I still find the lag makes anything even remotely fast paced essentially unplayable with xCloud

Nice. I love the concept, i just think my screen is a bit too small. Its amazing just how small typical console text is when scaled down to a circa 5" display. Will definitely look in to it again if it makes it over to Apple (though frustratingly the Kishi controller would not fit it because it is USB-C).

Amazon have launched Luna, their cloud gaming service. And it’s available on iOS, via “web apps”. So why can’t MS do that?

Web app performance wouldn't be anything on a "proper" app, I imagine Xbox want to ensure the same experience across platforms.

Played about half an hour of Minit last night, and was quite pleased with the performance. Video quality took a dip fairly often, but was mostly mitigated by the B&W pixel artstyle. Likely something to do with our Sky router and the mixing of 2/5ghz bands, but I can't be arsed fiddling with it.

Works really well with the 8BitDo SF30 Pro, but it's a bit top heavy on the clip, so I might look for one that fits on the Xbone pad.

My S8 is nearly three years old now though, so the arse falls right out of the battery! :slol:

Follow-up to this:
I separated the 2/5Ghz bands on my router, and now it plays buttery smooth- nary a stutter or tear in sight. :datass:

I also remembered that I can plug my phone into my Genki Switch dock to use Samsung Dex, which means I can play on my TV upstairs! :toot:

Sounds like they’ve acted on my suggestion.
