I thought I read that even on PC it had a kind of beginner/arcades option to use a gamepad.
Like I say, you can play with the pad fine (I’m using one), especially from third person view. It gets clunky in 1st person on bigger planes as you have to press control+num for a certain panel view, or use the mouse to look and click controls. Flaps are F5 and F8. Landing gear left click. Auto pause is ‘pause’ on KB. Throttle is managed by A/B or F2/F3, but these could be triggers. They aren’t like racing games though. You set engine revs in increments.
I’m very much a beginner. But rudder and elevator controls use Y+d pad but often I use the keyboard. There is a menu system for ATC/weather/nav aids/and some others so while flying I access via mouse.
There are a lot of controls basically. Be interesting how they make it work on just a pad.
